Although technically scheduled for next month, we're going to swap this month's HMD with May's CR Meme so we can double it as a plotting post for the Festival. For the details, refer to this post.

Info + Plans: Mikleo is a water seraph, who is basically invisible unless your character has resonance (think high spirit energy), is not human, or is part of Sosyne alignment! but don't fret because with enough EMOTIONAL BOND you too can eventually see him as well! otherwise there's a house warming party with the zesty crew that's going on right now, and Mikleo is now getting use to having a new penguin following him around like a duckling...
Festival Plans: If you don't think Sorey and Mikleo are gonna check out all the things together well......,, okay they're totally gonna go through the maze together ( WONDER WHATS GONNA HAPPEN THERE??? even me and ryuu dont know) and the ribbon dance, please laugh at them fail at dancing together but boy they're gonna be able to release those ribbons easily together via emotions and that's gonna be so obvious please laugh at them (or have secondhand embarrassment cause they're embarrassing.) BUT OTHERWISE... i do want Mikleo to do egg hunt too, and other things as well-- I WANT TO DO ALL THE THINGS... so please plot with me for other shenanigans, i am up for everything

Info + Plans: UH. Low-grade trollish Super soldier with some shipper-on-deck tendencies. Recently enlisted with the Enforcers. Can often be found doing odd-jobs around the city, haunting a cafe or the library, or keeping in shape in the park or, pretty much anywhere else. Still getting used to being social, and most importantly still looking for a purpose around town. Presently preoccupied with that shiny new crystal puzzle, and might initially see the festival as distracting but THIS CITY LOVES IT'S PARTIES so why not.

Festival Plans: None made; could probably be coerced into some of the games, and can absolutely be coerced into a) gentle trolling and b) matchmaking.

CR Wanted: Not picky! Could do for a confidant/peer type of friendship, but I'm down for just about everything!!!

Not interested in: Romance/shipping (perhaps a little ironically, given the season).

Info + Plans: Thereth is an undead warrior cow who enjoys taking care of kids (and literally everyone else), long walks in the park (I'm serious! she loves plants), and gently trolling people by being a giant talking cow. She's not super outgoing, but she is friendly and enjoys meeting new people!

After the festival, she will likely need to go off into the wilderness to find something to murder, because part of her undead-ness involves having to cause pain regularly. (Spoilers: she doesn't actually need to do this in Empatheias, but doesn't know that yet!!!! Ooooooo!!)

Festival Plans: She would love to go egg hunting and wrestling with people! Please let her wrestle with you, cmon she promises to go easy 8) She'd also get something of a kick out of being flowercuffed to people, because they tend to react funnily to big tauren ladies.
CR Wanted: ALL OF IT
Not interested in: nothing at the moment, although ICly she does not really appreciate cow jokes. Apologies to all the jokesters out there.
Shipping Preferences: WINK WONK actually I would love to get Thereth in a ship hahalsafj. She likes men, generally older/more suave and gentlemanly types, and even if there's not a ship to be had she does find joke-flirting fun. Alas, she also has lots of issues that get in the way of ships, but who doesn't amirite.

Character: Merisia Thenel | | Final Fantasy XIV (OC) | Piphron
Info + Plans: Merisia is a grumpy, six-foot-tall elf lady that casts magic from her magical fantasy geometry textbook grimoire. She is often accompanied by a rabbit/fox/corgi familiar known as Carbuncle. She is capable of healing, sewing, snarking, pickpocketing and Being An Adventurer. Likes exploring places like ruins, ghost towns, etc for the purposes of exploration and treasure hunting. She also has a massive sweet tooth. Currently she's getting used to how her magic feels now in empatheias, as well as keeping a close eye on the task board for things to do because it's the closest thing she's got to doing levequests.
Festival Plans: Merisia isn't exactly the social type, so she'll probably just be skulking about a bit, and maybe a bit bitter that she can't just take the cake without someone feeding it to her. She may or may not be caught playing hyper frisbee with Carbuncle or attending a few of the other activities that don't involve having a partner, though if you bribe her enough she may be convinced to join up. She is always prone to being bothered but as usual will attempt to snark away anyone pestering her. tl;dr: no major set plans.
CR Wanted: She really needs some friends. Granted she trusts absolutely zero people and isn't keen on opening up but she's the kind of person that if you pester enough she'll eventually break down. Granted, it'd also be fun to give her a villain to hate on.
Not interested in: Nothing that comes to mind atm!
Shipping Preferences: Nothing huge at the moment. I'm open to the possibility of a romantic relationship (and she does swing both ways in that respect), but nothing beyond that. Meri is a tough cookie in terms of earning trust, though.
Anything else: Merisia has a special post about her Echo ability over here! While it doesn't exactly fire off randomly (it tends to be relevant to whatever's happening), it could make for some interesting CR-related opportunities.


Character: Astro | a_boy_robot | Astro Boy (2009 film) | Daimonia
Info + Plans: Astro is a robot boy with rocket feet and machine guns in his butt and he is so good at pretending to be human he even fooled himself the first day he was activated. He comes from a world where robots are viewed as machines that are devoid of real feelings, though, so he does his best to keep the whole "being a robot" thing a secret as much as possible out of fear of being outcast again. Also he literally just got here so he's gonna be looking for ways he can volunteer or help out in general. (Even if he's gotta sneakily use his robot powers every once in a while. He prefers not to, but hey, as long as he's sneaky about it and can come up with a cover-up excuse, he'll do it!)
Festival Plans: He'll be enjoying the festivities (sans the food ones, of course). I don't have any major set plans for him yet.
CR Wanted: FRIENDSHIP. And possibly even friendships that can completely do a heartbreaking 180 on him later because I love being punched in the feels don't you
Not interested in: I don't really wanna do anything super dark with this kid. When in doubt just run it by me first!
Shipping Preferences: Astro's technically like 13 (and also a robot) soooo nothing beyond puppy love stuff please!

not related to festival but she's interested in building a shrine outside the city for anyone who would like a place to worship. she's not picky about gods or anything, even the arehtei cult would be welcome, literally anybody would be if they donate...
Festival Plans: she'll probably just be in this for the free food and any booze? so she might participate in the feeding/pocky things in the most unromantic and deadpan way possible.
CR Wanted: she's not a very proactive person, her idea of a good time is lazing around all day drinking tea and/or sake. would anyone friendly would like to bug her even if she's a real jerk?! she misses her much more outgoing buddies Marisa and Sanae u_u

Festival Plans: HE'S A REAL ATTENTION-SEEKER so lmao he'll enter himself as flower king. a-and queen, he will totally cross-dress and enter a fake name if he doesn't get caught. i'm sorry...

he will probably participate in any event, he's the kind of person who would try anything at least once! he'll especially be interested in speed-dating and dancing and other romantic stuff because he wants a girlfriieeeend
CR Wanted: I'd like him to make friends and eventually probably alienate some of them because wow he's a real jackass even/especially since he tries to hide it. THAT SAID he is very surface-level friendly and puts in effort to be likeable because he's a real tryhard. he has quite a lot of hobbies (fishing/hiking/strategy games) and tends to prefer having fun rather than working so he has a lot of free time and loves to hang out with people!

Festival Plans: Alice is basically going to hanging back on this one. She's learned a lesson in not eating food at these places, and she never really get's too involved otherwise.
CR Wanted: Nothing really comes to mind about what I want?
Not interested in: Alice is a wimp and so am I! So I'd like it if she wasn't involved in anything really bad.
Shipping Preferences: The one thing Alice would really want? Someone who has as long of a lifespan as her.

Info + Plans: King of Knights, a tiny girl with an invisible sword who will gladly help those in need. May need to be fed five times more than the average person. No plans as of this moment.
Festival Plans: She'll go and see if people she knows are about, mostly.
CR Wanted: Still wanting a Fate castmate of some kind, but other than that... honestly, civilians get a much warmer side of her, while other combatants of sorts she treats like comrades in arms more. And that's why Saber won't go out with you Roy.
Not interested in: Saber is a fighter, first and foremost. She is... not going to be all that helpful in things other than that...
Shipping Preferences: She's not terribly interested, but on the meta sense... whatever happens, happens.

Info + Plans: Suffering magical girl who is currently in denial about facts about her life, has some slight relationship issues, has a rather black and white world view still. Will fiercely protect Madoka from... basically anything.

Info + Plans: He's generally a pretty...easygoing guy. As long as the person he's interacting with has chill. If not, he is very good at acting like he's still easygoing, even if he would very much like you to shut up. (This is unless you remind him of Alexander Hamilton in which case idk good luck he's going to make the most put-out faces.) While he's mostly very friendly, he's also the kind of guy who doesn't give much away aaaaand he has the chance to come off as a little twofaced or slimy. I don't necessarily have my own plans for him, but I'd love for him to get caught up in something...so if there's any need for a very smart lawyer/politician type...
Festival Plans: I...certainly would not mind Burr getting caught up in the speed-dating event/flower cuff event!! I mean. It's got so much potential to go so wrong. But it would be funny, and it would also force him to make some new acquaintances, so that would be nice. Also MONEY IS SORT OF TIGHT IN THE burr-hamilton-laurens-lafayette household so he...might actually...do the egg hunt...for the prize. Otherwise, he's acutely aware that he needs to start really making connections, so he'll be generally wandering around the festival and being friendly.
CR Wanted: NON...CAST CR. That's been a clusterfuck recently, and he's pretty sure it's going to get even worse in the near future, shit is gonna go down for him. Reiterating from the last CR meme: Anyone who would try to get up under his guard would be wonderful, as long as they were subtle about it - slow burn friendships? SLOW BURN FRIENDSHIPS. I'm also okay with negative CR because Burr can definitely cause that sort of reaction in some people. (Just look at Hamilton.)

Info + Plans: The world's fluffiest fluff. Full of friendliness and fluff. Also from post-apocalyptic Scandinavia. Reynir is an optimistic, kind, adventure-seeking SLIGHTLY CLUELESS AND NAIVE young man who happened to blunder into an actual recruited team of treasure hunters who.....only know what they're doing a little more than he does, tbh. He's also a mage. Kind of. KIND OF. One day he'll do something deliberate and useful. Reynir is relatively new so he doesn't have that many plans other than MAKE A LOT OF FRIENDS. Although some time in the next two weeks he's moving out of his friends' place and he's never lived on his own.....roommate please?
Festival Plans: LITERALLY EVERYTHING i know that's not helpful but literally if anyone is looking for a partner for any activity, Reynir's your guy. Again, I'm interested in the flower cuffs, Reynir will probably run around trying to make as many flowers bloom as he can, he'll really just be up in everything everywhere. I think he'd get into the Gum Ball Shooting Game and also he's likely to try and grab a partner for the garden maze.
CR Wanted: AS MANY FRIENDS AS POSSIBLE. Teachers...for magic?? It's probably going to end up being kind of a dead end (because while Reynir doesn't know how the hell to do his magic, there is a specific way!! Someone teach him about runes...?) but fun CR nonetheless. Honestly just people who will either match his enthusiasm or take him under their wing and Teach Him Some Shit. Negative CR is going to be hard to come by, but the boy is...somewhat naive and eager to please so that could be something to work with.
Not interested in: I'd like to veer away from anything to dark or hurtful for the time being.

Info + Plans: Takato is a very sweet, shy, and kinda socially awkward spirit. He's an ungaikyo, which is type of tsukumogami that's connected to a mirror. But he's basically trying to get over his fear of humans, a fear he now has thanks to his abusive master in the past, and he's slowly achieving this through sheer will and exposure therapy tbh.

Festival Plans: Nothing really set in stone, but he'll be around and trying all sorts of foods and things! Takato is pretty big on learning about other cultures and stuff so he'll likely go around to all the booths. Might take some time to go through the garden maze and get hopelessly lost so if anyone wants to save him...that's cool.

CR Wanted: Positive CR people that can draw him out of his shell and help him get better acquainted with humans and such.

Not interested in: I'm game for everything tbh.

Info + Plans: James Madison, aka the Fourth President of the United States of America, the Father of the US Constitution, the author of the Bill of Rights, the guy who wrote a hefty part of the Federalist Papers to assist the ratification of the Constitution... yeah, that guy. Except from a musical where he raps - and he's actually not President yet. That's still Washington. Genius, political mastermind, slave owner, guy of poor health, and also still very confused by Verens but trying to figure it all out. Also while he's not exactly the kind of guy who would go after puzzles, he's very good at getting a sense of the political situation and manipulating it to his goals. (Which, right now, are 'fixing this place so they can all go home' so the goals don't have to be selfish!) ... yeah. That's him.

Festival Plans: Well Madison's best friend slash (political) soulmate slash roommate has his birthday on the thirteenth, so he wanted to organize something for him, but that won't work since the weekend will be packed, so not-very-social Madison is coming to the party with Jefferson. He might even join in some of the sports. The romance side of things will prooobably go a little over his head when it comes to him, or at least he'll pretend that it does. But you never know!

CR Wanted: Meeting people in a nonthreatening context? He's actually a pretty big guy, and he's not a teenager or in his twenties, and is keenly aware how many of the Otherworlders are pretty young, so. Though I'm open to a lot! Any friendships will likely be very slow burn, but they're definitely possible!

Not interested in: ... he'd be pretty closed off to romantic advances from strangers, sorry. (By that point in his life, he's tried to court twice, been rebuffed. He's not yet met Dolley, who became his wife after super fast and strangely for him fiery courtship, and... yeah, from what I can tell, he's just not into romance much.)

CR Wanted: any kind honestly, he is kind of a prickly guy at first but he's also a hugely awkward dork so it's easy for CR to swing positive or negative with him.

Festival Plans: He's probably going to be lame and run a first-aid booth when he's not poking around the festivities.
CR Wanted: Science buddies! Nerd buddies! Really any type of buddies. Jude's not picky about his friends, just look at Alvin. He's also always available if you need a pinch healer. (I'm also a huge sucker for cross-Tales CR I'd love to collect them all)

He found over the Night of Selenium that he's got more issues than previously thought, one specifically that could be a danger to other people, so he's been trying to keep non-Glenwood folks at arm's length. ULTIMATELY THIS IS NOT WORKING OUT SO WELL BECAUSE THINGS KEEP HAPPENING TO MAKE IT OTHERWISE. As a result of Dezel's interactions with both Kor Meteor and Ben Tennyson, two people who initially could not see him at all, the wind seraph is now visible to them both. That in mind, I would like to continue pushing Dezel's current CR to where he becomes visible to at least a couple more people before he disappears for a bit in May FOR A CANON UPDATE. Though this isn't to say I don't want him forging new CR, either, positive OR negative. Both are good! (And if you need more info on how visibility with seraphim works on Empatheais, check this handy-dandy info post here!) Also he's being dragged along on Elize's camping trip, so more shenanigans can happen that way!
Festival Plans: Basically, Dezel's thoughts on the whole thing amount to, "This is bullshit, why am I here, I'm still so fucking mad at Elios." Yet he'll be there because his friends will be dragging him along with them. Don't get him wrong, he is interested in the food and flowers are pretty awesome (almost as great as animals and insects), but there are crowds, it's noisy, all the romance stuff is uncomfortable, etc. etc. Still! I'm open to him talking with/meeting people over food and if you think your character can get away with it, putting a flower crown over his hat or some such. Cute things. Cute things are good.

Steady pay is a Good Thing, after all, and he thinks he'd be a good asset to the group. He may also start searching around for sparring partners and experimenting with local tech/magitech. And by experimenting, I mean he may see what his technopathy will do with that stuff, if anything.
Festival Plans: None, really! But he will be around and enjoying the food and games. He's kind of fail when it comes to romance what is flirting without being a total dork, but he loves meeting new people and making friends. If you're playing a female character who looks to be between the ages of 16-20, don't be shocked if he tries to make an awkward but honest attempt to flirt and be impressive/suave/etc.

Also he's a possessed giant suit of armour with a voice several years too young for him and no physical body, so that tends to stick out.
Festival Plans: Honestly no concrete plans! I just want him around in some fashion since he is definitely all about efforts to spread positivity in between babysitting his older brother. He might well be seen trying to use his funky matter-reshaping not-magic to entertain younger kids or help out people in genuine trouble, even though the former isn't really his expertise.
CR Wanted: He's friendly, but his friendships tend to be surface level since everyone in his family is a cagey piece of garbage, plus his complicated life means he's always vacillating between being too much of a kid and not enough of one :') Pushy friends, people legit interested in what makes him tick, motherly types who would check on him, just people who would look past the possessed armour thing and treat him normally, all of that could be interesting to deal with! When he can be bothered to do his job, he's a patrol officer with the Enforcers Otherworlder division, but nobody knows why. Secretly hella twitchy, too analytical for his own good, nihilist to the point of apathy, judgmental and distrusting of everyone including his own family... but that doesn't mean he can't legitimately be friendly with and even fond of people who aren't blatant horrible sinners, which means it's fine! (It's not fine.) If it means anything to you, he fell off the tail end of a No Mercy run about half a year ago, which has been... productive.
Festival Plans: If he overhears anything that sounds like a heartfelt confession, he's going to interrupt it with a knockoff version of Yakety Sax for solo trombone. Besides that, he's pretty much here to shit up the King/Queen votes, make deadpan comments and investigate the food in the least romantic way possible. But while he's too lazy to take an interest in most of the events, he's also too lazy to protest if someone drags him into them for one reason or another, so I'm definitely up for him getting pushed into stuff if you think a skeleton would be funny! ATM I think he probably won't have any toplevels, but that could change.

As a native of the Middle Ages, he knows little about technology and speaks in a ye olde English style. He carries the legendary sword, the Masamune, which is effective against magic users, and is very interested in swordsmanship. He's chivalrous and loyal to his friends (and Queen) but feels guilty about the past and can suffer from general feelings of self-doubt. He was also bullied a lot as a kid but toughened up since Cyrus' death.

Since he's brand new, I don't have any concrete plans yet! He'll just find a nice hole to live in away from people and try and find out more about the place and the others who were pulled here right now. He really wants to get home and finish what he started!

Festival Plans: I will honestly go for anything lmao, but things that he gets roped into will probably work best like the flower-cuffs. Also maybe the maze/egg hunt if anyone wants to drag him into that? Or anything that enables him to practice his swordplay!

She rather stays on the background and listens to whatever's happening around her than actively takes part in stuff, knowingly building walls hello canon around her and making herself more difficult to approach than most of her class by being withdrawn, cynical and serious. ...But she's not really as emotionless as she bottles up everything; she cares and loves a lot about her friends and family and has devoted her whole life to protecting them and especially one guy named Eren. Don't hurt her friends and you won't see the side of her, that is like a merciless killing machine. Also her past is kind of horrible and comes with some triggers, but then again, she's from AoT so that's about normal there.

She'll be (FINALLY) looking for new training company this month-ish. Sparring where you can come at her with your special abilities even, sword fighting, martial arts, possibly Dunamis or that's in the future at least. She fights regenerating giants back home, wouldn't mind testing her skills on something similar here either. |:

She's also from a magical girl timeline and she needs positive crosscanon encounters anytime when her soul gem is clouded / tainted, though she doesn't know this herself yet and it's going to take her time to notice it.
