Although technically scheduled for next month, we're going to swap this month's HMD with May's CR Meme so we can double it as a plotting post for the Festival. For the details, refer to this post.

Character: James Madison | itsatie | Hamilton: An American Musical | Piphron

Info + Plans: James Madison, aka the Fourth President of the United States of America, the Father of the US Constitution, the author of the Bill of Rights, the guy who wrote a hefty part of the Federalist Papers to assist the ratification of the Constitution... yeah, that guy. Except from a musical where he raps - and he's actually not President yet. That's still Washington. Genius, political mastermind, slave owner, guy of poor health, and also still very confused by Verens but trying to figure it all out. Also while he's not exactly the kind of guy who would go after puzzles, he's very good at getting a sense of the political situation and manipulating it to his goals. (Which, right now, are 'fixing this place so they can all go home' so the goals don't have to be selfish!) ... yeah. That's him.

Festival Plans: Well Madison's best friend slash (political) soulmate slash roommate has his birthday on the thirteenth, so he wanted to organize something for him, but that won't work since the weekend will be packed, so not-very-social Madison is coming to the party with Jefferson. He might even join in some of the sports. The romance side of things will prooobably go a little over his head when it comes to him, or at least he'll pretend that it does. But you never know!

CR Wanted: Meeting people in a nonthreatening context? He's actually a pretty big guy, and he's not a teenager or in his twenties, and is keenly aware how many of the Otherworlders are pretty young, so. Though I'm open to a lot! Any friendships will likely be very slow burn, but they're definitely possible!

Not interested in: ... he'd be pretty closed off to romantic advances from strangers, sorry. (By that point in his life, he's tried to court twice, been rebuffed. He's not yet met Dolley, who became his wife after super fast and strangely for him fiery courtship, and... yeah, from what I can tell, he's just not into romance much.)

Shipping Preferences: Er. Political soulmates, I mentioned? That's pretty closed off, but.

I have no idea what is going on with this CR at all, but let's continue it because I wanna see what happens....and Pride never even said who he was during that ridiculous conversation.

I also could throw Ryuunosuke at him because he's old fashion and does law things, even if he's from a nation in the east.

Yees. I've fallen behind on tagging back rn but! On the one hand, Madison is (a bit overly) indulgent with kids. On the other hand, he's been warned about 'looks like a kid but is not' about half a dozen times this far. And is Selim still held up / serving sentence, or will that expire at some point. I mean, it's not like the CR can't keep going over the amulet network...

Either of them trying to actually manipulate the other would backfire so spectacularly.

ICLY his sentence period is indefinite until he shows "improvement". OOCLY it's 3 months, but he may end up serving for some more time until I find a good way to release him. So amulet talking is probably gonna be a thing for a while. Only other option is them meeting while he's doing community service or actually at the holding facility. I still haven't worked out if...it's even possible to bring Pride to the flower festival. Locals wouldn't want him and he's got a ton of negative emotions pent up in him that it would not be a good environment he'd create.

HMMM. Then maybe crystalnet and/or community service. (Madison... is not exactly the kind who'd go visit prisoners. On the other hand, he's quietly started working at a bakery, and by quietly I mean that he prefers not to mention it to people, so it's possible that he might just be close to where community service happens, delivery or errands running.)

Anyhoo. We'll work it oooout!
