Welcome to Empatheias' plotting and CR meme! Please fill out the form below with all of the necessary information. Then go forth and reply to others, plot, make friends, have shenanigans!

The Plot and CR meme will be posted on the first of each month, and will be posted once the intro posts have been posted, and again during the mid-month announcement. We highly encourage everyone to check the post from time to time, even if a week has passed. You never know what kind of opportunities you could be missing!

INSTRUCTIONS

• Feel free to use the "Open Mingling Announcements" and "Task Board Recruitment" top levels for better focused organisation. Note: Any large scale group plots should still be posted to the OOC community proper.

• For more general plotting and to talk about CR you wish to build, create your own top level following the format below. Put your character's name in the subject line, or your name in the subject line if you have more than one character.

• Fill out the form and comment away! The top level relating to the task board has a different form, catered specifically to task board related things, as well.

• Tip! If mentioning tasks, include both the task ID and a brief two-word blurb to easily identify (eg., ST0602 Giant Fish).

Are they the type to be happy developing a life in Empatheias or has the wanderlust set in? Are they more likely to be involved in the overarching plot and exploration? Do they want to go exploring?)
Current Activities/Developments: (What's your character going through right now? What's gone on in recent past? What are they doing in their day to day life? Are they looking for a job or are they currently in the middle of planning an expedition? A link to a recent post or a top-level can also go here!)
Future Developments: (Where are you wanting to take your character going forward? This could be serious character development, or general slice of life developments! Are they going to pack up and become a nomadic wanderer and explore the world or maybe you want to get them more involved in something else. Talk about the kind of emotions you want your character to work through, as well! Good or bad, or if they're focusing on Dunamis. All future plans go here!)
Shipping/Romance: (let's face it, ship happens. in a general sense are your characters interested in romance? something permanent, or a fling or two maybe? Even unrequited love is something that can be fun to play out!)

but uh. pretty generally consider that I'm always up for identity shenanigans, and I'd love to pursue CR for Ickis and Luke. Luke's got to get more optimism all over him, after all. :P any thoughts specifically, or just throw them at each other and see what sticks?

I haven't seen her so far, but I love the dynamic Ickis has with both Luke and Asch haha, so different.

I'm all for just throwing them at each other and seeing what happens! This month I've also signed Ickis up to play dodgeball (oy), skateboard, and to eat that person's garbage on the task board lmao... I also put up an entry a few days ago (doing much of the same, lol, garbage and scaring, he's a simple monster) you're welcome to tag! otherwise we can just play it by ear obvs :)

I may have to take a look at that entry — I don’t know if Luke is convinced Ickis was serious about eating garbage, for instance — but yeah, playing by ear. I’m sure I can find some excuse to tag you.

and hahaha, no worries. I’m prone to long-winded sometimes, too. if I’m slower responding it’s just on account of it taking a bit more brain; i’m still enjoying it, promise. :) I have no idea at all about Ickis’ canon, but you’re giving me more than enough of an introduction to go on.

I haven't played any of the Tales games, either!!! I've had a few friends way back in the day who also role-played from it (wow Dist is a trip??? stands out in my memory lol), so I've always been curious about it. They seem like a cool series.

As for Aaahh!!! Real Monsters! tho, lol, it's just a weird, dark, silly '90s cartoon that was on Nickelodeon when we were kids... It was on the outskirts of memory for me, even though I know I loved it as a kid, but I randomly rewatched it with some friends one night recently and we all loved it. This neurotic little guy just captured my heart for some reason lol... Like likes like, I guess, haha. But I figured it'd be a fun blast from the past for Halloween to bring him in, for the people who remember the show! something silly n spooky lol

oh, wow, Dist. Yes. A trip. A trip is one way to describe him. I do generally love the Tales games, though, and highly recommend them. Their characters are phenomenal.

Are the Tales games all for Playstation2? lol i'm sooo behind in fun fandoms... and video games... my only console is the PS2 lol, so ancient... i'm an actual grandpa.

Glad I'm spreading some fun, thanks for the encouragement! He's such a weird obscure character amongst this anime bonanza, so I honestly wasn't sure how it would go throwing him in. But so far I'm having a blast and getting good reception from other players, so thank you!!! The thread with Luke is definitely one of my favs c: looking forward to more of their odd new friendship, hehe

alas that many of them are for the PS3 or PS4 at this point. (Even Tales of Symphonia, originally for the GameCube, was remastered and rereleased on the PS3.) fortunately they're like Final Fantasy in that you can pick basically any one you want and hop in without losing anything by not playing the others.

the ones that actually do exist on the PS2 are Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Legendia. I don't recommend Legendia as a jumping-in point -- it's kind of experimental for the series -- but Tales of the Abyss is Luke's canon, so if you're curious you're in luck. ;)

I know it can be pretty frustrating to be a lone canon warrior, especially from an obscure canon, so I'm really glad you're trucking along anyway. Here's to future strange friendships~
