Welcome to Empatheias' plotting and CR meme! Please fill out the form below with all of the necessary information. Then go forth and reply to others, plot, make friends, have shenanigans!

The Plot and CR meme will be posted on the first of each month, and will be posted once the intro posts have been posted, and again during the mid-month announcement. We highly encourage everyone to check the post from time to time, even if a week has passed. You never know what kind of opportunities you could be missing!

INSTRUCTIONS

• Feel free to use the "Open Mingling Announcements" and "Task Board Recruitment" top levels for better focused organisation. Note: Any large scale group plots should still be posted to the OOC community proper.

• For more general plotting and to talk about CR you wish to build, create your own top level following the format below. Put your character's name in the subject line, or your name in the subject line if you have more than one character.

• Fill out the form and comment away! The top level relating to the task board has a different form, catered specifically to task board related things, as well.

• Tip! If mentioning tasks, include both the task ID and a brief two-word blurb to easily identify (eg., ST0602 Giant Fish).

Makari | Luke fon Fabre | Tales of the Abyss

Character Name: Luke fon Fabre
Canon: Tales of the Abyss
Brief Personality: Optimistic, easy to guilt trip, really genuinely wants to help people and do good things. Earnest, in typical JRPG protag way. A bit inexperienced about life, and impetuous, but determined to Get It Right and not make any more mistakes he can't take back. Prone to listening to other people's decisions.
Appearance: Crimson hair, green eyes, a bit short. If anyone's met Asch, he and Luke look, apart from the haircut, identical. I love playing with this. The other mun loves playing with this. (Luke does not love playing with this, but it's good for him to have a dose of the other side of things.)

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: a little of both! I'm happier on the slice of life side with life/RP balance, but Luke can't entirely be kept away from adventure, since it's often the most direct way to help people. So: both, but sparingly.
Current Activities/Developments: A couple of the people in Luke's house just vanished and he's trying to step up and take responsibility. This involves maybe a job hunt. He doesn't know how to have a job. Also, he still thinks he's possibly dying, and is doing his best to Not Think About That. So that's a thing. He's made some lovely acquaintance friends so far, however, and he rather likes it here, so. I'd love to pursue those.
Future Developments: Friendship!
...In the broad sense, I want to work on Luke and his sense of self. He's reasonably secure, but the Asch thing has thrown him for a loop, and is continuing to throw him for a loop now and again, and it's really awkward living with the person you were cloned to replace okay.
Apart from that, I kind of want to see where he takes me; I have more long-term goals than short-term rn.
Shipping/Romance: Luke isn't really interested. He has a puppy-love at someone back home, and is still kind of working on the whole maturity thing. He's younger than he looks.

Seeking: Definitely friendship. Antagonism is also up for grabs, since Luke does a weird dance around being mad at people right now. At this point, since Luke's so new, I want to follow up the CR he's already been making as well as branch out and meet people, especially cross-canon. I'm really open to about anything.
Offering: Do you need a hopeless optimist? Someone a little bit gullible who will nevertheless attempt to move heaven and earth to help you if he can? Do you need your cloning blues related to. If any of the above apply, hopeful shounen protagonist may be right for you! Call now.
Not Interested In/Avoiding: nothing at the moment; I just want to avoid getting too busy.

So I don't know if you have played Dawn of the New World or not but these kids definitely need to meet somehow! They have a lot in common that they can bond over...

I have! It was, however, a very long time ago. Still, I'm aware of exactly what Emil's jam is, and why the two of them might have some things to talk about. It shouldn't be too hard to set them up for something interesting?

Awesome! Emil isn't aware of the fact that he's a summon spirit just yet but that is definitely something that I want to come up at some point (probably thanks to an event) just so that he can start processing it. Even without that, though, I think they'd get along fairly well, so I am game for getting some CR rolling. I'm just getting back from an event and I have to work tomorrow morning but I will take a look at the task list tomorrow and see if anything in particular pings me there that we might be able to work with!

although! all that said, if Emil needs to talk at someone about the whole problem of not being who you thought you were, I can think of worse candidates than Luke.

Hahaha yes, they can definitely commiserate on that subject once it does finally come up. I just need a good IC excuse to make it happen....

THAT SAID, I think they should go try to pet a giant cat because there is no way that will end in anything but awkward failure and hilarity.

Also do you play Tales of Link because I think I just partied with you, LOL...

I am here for this. Now I'm not so busy with hiatus with my weekends last month and all. I mean. He knows Sync but idk if that might be the best starting point or worst considering. Ahem.

But spoilers with Phi being canon updated especially, they have a lot to go on, really.

Something like that. Sync it was more bonding over similarities rather than the cute factor but. I wouldn't be surprised if it played a part with some of his cr at least.

Even if Phi would insist he isn't cute. Watch him then point to Luke all 'everyone I am older than him okay?!' as if that really makes any difference.

Luke is definitely more optimistic about Sync than Sync is about him. Sync is not optimistic about Luke at all.

but uh. pretty generally consider that I'm always up for identity shenanigans, and I'd love to pursue CR for Ickis and Luke. Luke's got to get more optimism all over him, after all. :P any thoughts specifically, or just throw them at each other and see what sticks?

I haven't seen her so far, but I love the dynamic Ickis has with both Luke and Asch haha, so different.

I'm all for just throwing them at each other and seeing what happens! This month I've also signed Ickis up to play dodgeball (oy), skateboard, and to eat that person's garbage on the task board lmao... I also put up an entry a few days ago (doing much of the same, lol, garbage and scaring, he's a simple monster) you're welcome to tag! otherwise we can just play it by ear obvs :)

I may have to take a look at that entry — I don’t know if Luke is convinced Ickis was serious about eating garbage, for instance — but yeah, playing by ear. I’m sure I can find some excuse to tag you.

and hahaha, no worries. I’m prone to long-winded sometimes, too. if I’m slower responding it’s just on account of it taking a bit more brain; i’m still enjoying it, promise. :) I have no idea at all about Ickis’ canon, but you’re giving me more than enough of an introduction to go on.
