Hello, everyone! We’re already halfway through July, and Helisium is fast approaching. We’re here with your regularly-scheduled calendar and Emotion Tracker updates, in addition to the quarterly game-wide HMD. We’ll also be giving a brief overview of what’s to come with this year’s Helisium. Please take a few moments to read this post thoroughly!

» EMOTION TRACKER UPDATE

As always, it's kind of early to tell where the Emotion Tracker is going.

As a reminder, this is just a "mid-month" check to give everyone an idea of where the Emotion Tracker stands. If you haven't had a chance to submit your threads, don't worry! You can still fill out the survey here.

We’ve already had several submissions to the tracker this month, and at the moment, we’re trending positive. No doubt there will be plenty more emotions to go around during Helisium! Just as a reminder, submitting to the Emotion Tracker before the end of the month qualifies your character to select a Mystery Gift at the beginning of the following month!

» LIGHT OF HELISIUM

Helisium, an annual event here in Empatheias, is a lively festival that's a mix between Summer Solstice and the celebration of marriages. Full details will be posted closer to the date of the festival itself, but here is a basic rundown of what to expect.

The event has two parts: daytime and nighttime. However, unlike the previous years where we had two different logs for daytime and nighttime, we will be condensing the event to a single log post. For those who do not wish to deal with recaptcha, we will be posting an overflow log once the initial event log has reached 4,500 comments.

Schedule: As a reminder, while Helisium will be ICly celebrated on the 28th, the log will be posted on July 22nd to allow players plenty of time to enjoy the festivities.

Structure: As mentioned, both the daytime and nighttime parts of the event will be in a single log. There will be no separate Emotion Tracker for the event, but we absolutely encourage people to submit any appropriate threads to the standard tracker!

Daytime Portion: Helisium's daytime portion includes sports and swimming! Dress up your characters in swimwear and have them participate in all kinds of games! Activities may include an IC version of Mafia, some sort of ball game, amongst others.

Nighttime: If you're new to the game and have been seeing people talk about "the masquerade" and "Helisium outfits", then this should answer any questions you may have had! During the evening of Helisium, a masquerade is held and everyone will be out to party. Contrary to the previous years, this year's masquerade will be set in Verens.

» HOW’S MY DRIVING MEME

The gamewide How’s My Driving meme for July has been posted here. As before, guidelines have been provided. Empatheias’ recently-returned HMD meme is held quarterly (every three months) and is completely optional. As decided through the results of the gamewide polls concerning reinstating the HMD, there will be no anon allowed. Please be polite and constructive when offering feedback!
