Hello, everyone! We hope that your May has been excellent so far, both in and out of game. The month started off with a bang between a player plot and Elios encasing himself in ice as a result of being out of balance, but there’s still plenty of May left, and no telling where things will stand by the end of the month. We’re here with your regularly scheduled Calendar and Emotion Tracker updates, and May’s mid-month announcement is accompanied by a World Restoration Committee log, as well! Please take a few moments to read through this post thoroughly.

As always, it's kind of early to tell where the Emotion Tracker is going.

As a reminder, this is just a "mid-month" check to give everyone an idea of where the Emotion Tracker stands. If you haven't had a chance to submit your threads, don't worry! You can still fill out the survey here.

As always, it’s a little early to tell where the Emotion Tracker is going to end up for the month. As a matter of fact, there isn’t much to go on at all just yet, but there’s still plenty of time for people to weigh in and see what effect their emotions have before the end of the month. With the numbers currently in the green, we’re off to a positive start, but that can always change!

The World Restoration Committee mingle log can be found here! The log itself is pretty straightforward, and is meant to serve all of your WRC-related needs. This log is open to everyone— both established Committee members and characters who haven’t joined up yet but have an interest in current events and the general well-being of Empatheias are more than welcome. Considering the events following the Flower Festival, it’s understandable that there may be some concerns that people would like to discuss. Snacks will be provided.

We already have the player plot going on, and Elios is back to normal, but we also have some weather changes thanks to… well, nobody really knows yet! Verens will definitely be windy and stormy these next coming days.

With the weather going haywire and emotions having an effect in the environment, this will have an effect on just about anybody - happy, sad, calm, angry, et cetera. Depending on how someone feels, they may find themselves losing touch with the ground... Maybe it's best to stay indoors—then again, maybe that won't be as helpful as it seems!

Would gravity-related tech work against the emotional effects?

Gravity manipulation tech can work against "normal" emotional effects, but unfortunately it will not work on the particular effects of the event. More details will be provided tomorrow in the log!

Hey, mods! Was looking over the Emotion Tracker page, and it looks like May's page and the blank template are still operating on the old formulas (crystal state is always P - N - A, aligned subtotals are multiplied by the number of aligned, etc.) instead of on the more stabilizing formulas you came up with in April. Is it something that needed catching, or is it an intentional thing (because didn't see info one way or another in this or the last announcement)?

Thanks for catching that! Not sure how I missed it, but I think I updated everything that needed it except that, which was probably the most important, hah. It should be fixed now.

No worries! It took me this long to spot it too. Not to mention you guys have to keep up with a LOT of things and it's not like you've needed to really mess with the template before now. Just need to make sure the aligned points are tripled in the Crystal Breakdown columns and everything should be perfect! Thanks a ton for all the hard work you guys do to make sure the game runs smoothly, and for being so approachable when it comes to this. You're the best!
