Hello, everyone! We hope April was good to you, and we hope you guys enjoyed the Flower Festival! Zephyras is in full swing as we move into May/Dua. In the wake of the Flower Festival and Empatheias’ new year, this month will be a bit lighter by comparison, though be on the lookout for event information around mid-month! In the meantime, we’re here with your monthly calendar, as well as the usual Emotion Tracker and Arehtei updates. Please take a few minutes to read this post thoroughly!

Here are the basic dates to keep up with:

5/01: Canon and Original Character Applications open; Plot and CR with Me Meme posted; Task Board updated.
5/05: Applications close; Reservations close.
5/05-06: Application processing.
5/06: Intro Log and Player Intros posted.
05/08: Player Plot.
05/10: Flower Festival Follow-up/Elios Mini-event.
05/15: World Restoration Committee Log.
5/18 - 5/21: Event.
5/18: Test Drive.
5/25: Activity Check starts; Reservations open.
5/31: Activity Check end.

Don't be alarmed to see two events this month! Both events will be light on the scale, with the Flower Festival/Elios mini-event being completely opt-in.

» JOBS & TASK BOARD

The Task Board has been updated so characters can start taking on odd jobs if they are so inclined. Details as to how the Task Board works and sign-up (if applicable) can be found on the said post, as well.

In addition, there is a Job List sheet that lists out more permanent jobs available for characters. The link to the job list can be found here. These are different from the Task Board jobs as they can be used as part-time or full-time jobs and do not have any specific time period. If you want your character to have a job, that's it. This is also where we will list character run businesses. So if you have one or are thinking about one, there will be a place where it can be referenced and looked at. You can even make tasks relating to your business.

The location of each task is determined by the colors they're labeled with. So, White = Verens; Yellow = Shaarnath; Pink = Theastai; Blue/Grey = Briarlan; Purple = Excursions; Red = Plot.

Note: We always welcome and encourage players to submit various tasks for the Task Board! However, in the interest of fairness and making sure that player-submitted tasks can be integrated into the Board in a timely manner, we ask that if you would like your task to be included that it be submitted no later than five days prior to the start of the coming month. Otherwise, it will be included the following month. Thank you!

» EMOTION TRACKER UPDATE

The Emotion Tracker has been updated with new sheets. If you forgot any threads from last month, you can still submit to the tracker and just have it count toward this month. This includes any events that occurred.

The end of April has us distinctly in the green, though everyone’s efforts to maintain balance even during an overwhelmingly positive event like the Flower Festival have absolutely paid off! We broke even at 0 for a short while near the end of the month, but even with the late surge of positivity, we’re still in good shape. Imagine what it might have been like if people hadn’t been working so hard to keep Elios from going overboard again… So far, Zephyras is off to a great start!

» MYSTERY GIFTS FOR APRIL

Players who submitted to the Emotion Tracker last month are invited to choose an IC Mystery Gift from the list below for each contributing character! Below is a top-level where you can let the mods know what item you've chosen. These Mystery Gifts will appear at the foot of the character's bed once they wake on the day of your choice. If the character doesn't sleep, it will be at their doorstep.

Here are the Mystery Gifts for April:

Square-Enix Jorts - Asymmetrical and covered with way too many zippers. Sure to make some kind of fashion statement.
Spring Sandals - Just in time for the warmer shift in weather, these sandals will put an actual spring in your step!
Mystery Seeds - Plant them and see what grows! Maybe you’ll end up with flowers or some tasty vegetables— or maybe you’ll just end up with weeds. Oh well, at least they’re free!
Water Gun - A plastic pistol that squirts water. Available in lime green, hot pink, banana yellow and basic black.
E-Ray Glasses -These glasses are said to allow you to see the aura of emotional energy surrounding someone. Results may vary. Complete with fake nose and mustache.
Turtle Wax - Styling wax that comes in a jar shaped like a turtle with a shell for a lid. Please do not use on actual turtles!
Festive Hat - The Flower Festival has come and gone, but flowers are still the thing. This wide-brimmed straw hat has flowers of various colors fixed around its crown. May attract bees.

» STATE OF THE AREHTEI

Appointments can still be made with individual Arehtei here, complete with updated player list. Here’s a glimpse of where each of the Arehtei are at right now:

Aiada - Aiada is feeling a lot better after the festival! She feels like meeting new people, so be on the lookout for her this month. Warning; she still has some flower crowns left over from the festival, so if you see one dropping on you, don't be alarmed, it might just be her sprites saying hi!
Daimonia - Daimonia is feeling fine! She's getting a bit more positivity than grief again now but pretty stable overall. However, she'll be away this month, continuing to explore her lands while everything seems to be going well.
Elios - Elios was banking on there being at least just a smidgen of imbalance after the Flower Festival, but it seems that there's way too much hate to overcompensate the love and he's fearful that he might do something he'll regret again…
Peromei - Peromei is so full of hope she's likely to vibrate out of her coat! It will be extremely difficult to pin her down this month and she will disappear from the island from time to time as well, although she can be contacted freely via telepathy.
Piphron - Piphron is mostly even-keeled this month, leaning in favor of trust and the more positive aspect of his spectrum, but he’s still decidedly crabby. … that part is probably never going to change.
Sosyne - Sosyne is doing better this month! She's surfaced, so she'll be more available for conversation and seems to be in a calm, almost contemplative mood. It's anyone's guess how long she'll be like that, so enjoy it while it lasts.
Thras - Thras very much enjoyed his time at the Flower Festival, and continues to be in a much more balanced state than in months past. At the moment, he is quietly concerned about the growing anti-Thras activities that have continued to crop up throughout Shaarnath, though he is being careful not to let that worry cause any of the locals alarm.

» WORLD RESTORATION COMMITTEE

A World Restoration Committee log will be provided on the 15th for any committee business that characters may wish to touch on, or progress they may wish to share. Characters who are interested in joining the committee and doing their part to help restore Empatheias are also welcome to participate in this log.
