Welcome to Empatheias' plotting and CR meme! Please fill out the form below with all of the necessary information. Then go forth and reply to others, plot, make friends, have shenanigans!

The Plot and CR meme will be posted on the first of each month, and will be posted once the intro posts have been posted, and again during the mid-month announcement. We highly encourage everyone to check the post from time to time, even if a week has passed. You never know what kind of opportunities you could be missing!

• For more general plotting and to talk about CR you wish to build, create your own top level following the format below. Put your character's name in the subject line, or your name in the subject line if you have more than one character.

• Fill out the form and comment away! The top level relating to the task board has a different form, catered specifically to task board related things, as well.

• Tip! If mentioning tasks, include both the task ID and a brief two-word blurb to easily identify (eg., ST0602 Giant Fish).

Hizumi Mizushiro | Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning

Character Name: Hizumi Mizushiro (Goes by Hizumi Shiozuru in Empatheias)
Canon: Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning
Brief Personality: Formerly the devil of his world, now just a normal 18/almost 19 year old who's been through a Lot. He has a cheerful, friendly, outgoing exterior that hides someone who is actually both highly intelligent and clever. He's dealt with extreme depression and despair in the past, and while he's healed greatly from them after living in Empatheias for so long, he's still fairly sympathetic to those who deal with it now. Tends to keep people at a distance emotionally despite being all up in their faces physically.
Appearance: Contrary to his icons, he's actually growing closer to looking like this, most notably losing a lot of the rounded cheeks and generally being taller!

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! I'm happy to throw him into slice of life activities, but when adventure plots occur he's also my go-to!
Current Activities/Developments: He's currently on the Aiada expedition, working hard to make sure everyone's favorite green fluff makes it out a-ok! When not doing events, he's one of the owners of the Feline Nice Ice Cream parlor, a cat/ice cream/dessert parlor.
Future Developments: He does have a lot of old jealousy, envy, and resentment that's resurfaced due to this event, so he'll be talking through that with people in the near future. But I'm always up for folks who can see that there's more to him behind his facade, and actually call him out/confront him on it!
Shipping/Romance: Currently pretending he's not dating Ayumu despite very definitely dating Ayumu.

Seeking: More people who would be interested in digging at his true personality! But also just people for him to playfully pester or heck, even give advice to.
Offering: If you play someone who needs another character to drag them into shenanigans, Hizumi is super good for that on accounts of being pretty much shameless.
Not Interested In/Avoiding: I can't think of anything, so hit me up with whatever!

hmmmm. would Hizumi like to talk about things with Luke, or would he like to never see Luke again?

I mean, I've enjoyed what we've had so far and I would enjoy more something, it's just a question of them.

Hmmm! He doesn't know Luke too well yet, so if he talks about anything, it'll likely be just scratching the surface while trying to get the focus back on Luke because he's a butt

On the other hand since he now knows Luke is a clone, he might prod a bit about that. He had a lot of health problems that would have ensured he didn't survive to the age of twenty, and human cloning happens to be his area of expertise, so he'd definitely be keeping an eye on Luke to see to it that he's healthy here - and if not, potentially provide help with ways to heal those problems. But I have no idea what Luke's state is regarding that, so!

Luke is from basically endgame for him, which-- hm. If you haven't played Abyss, getting into spoiler territory is going to be unavoidable, I'm afraid. The long and the short of it is that Luke is, in fact, unstable and at risk of death. We have some plans and he shooooould be fine, but Luke himself is not entirely aware of how fine he's going to be yet. For him, anyway, it's less health problems -- he's healthy enough to fight, etc -- and more a case of... the component particles that make him up would just give up and stop holding together.

That said, if Hizumi has any ideas on the help front, that might also be interesting to play with? Plans are still a bit flexible since science castmate (Jade) went home.

I am totally cool with spoilers so no worries on that front o/

As for the cure, Hizumi actually broke a curse on himself that really should not have been possible to overturn, and he's known another person who was gravely ill who was able to heal himself as well. The method they used involved filling up a crystal amulet with emotion drops that correspond to an emotion that can be used for healing. I believe Komaeda used hope, whereas Hizumi used appreciation and Ayumu, who suffers the same problem as Hizumi, used trust. Notably these emotions were all the positive side of their respective alignments, but generally it should be an emotion that Luke can use to will the future he wants into existence! Hope for a greater future, appreciation for the extra time, trust in this world and the people around him and the desire to keep living in such a place, etc. etc.

Since emotion magic/dunamis can be very flexible, by having him learn this method, he could learn to essentially channel the emotions to stabilize his physical state, if that makes sense! Completed amulets themselves are extremely powerful, so unleashing it all at once for a specific purpose can have extreme effects like that. And in the long run it would take at least four months to collect those emotion drops and whatever time it takes for Luke to learn how to manipulate his emotions via dunamis, but hey, Hizumi's well practiced at it too, and this is exactly the type of thing he'd be eager to help with out of sympathy.

If any of that sounds interesting to you I'd be happy to play it out! Or if there's something else you wanted to work with, that's fine too - Hizumi's already got a vested interest just because oh shit it's another clone that's got to suck

I love this mechanic, on the first hand. On the second hand, we have half that problem already sorted-- Jade left Luke and Asch his completed crystals. I don't think they're clear on what to do with them yet, though, since sudden departure and new to this world, so at the very least it would be good if Luke could get ideas from Hizumi, I think.

That said, Luke learning to manipulate and work with his emotions is something I can also get behind, and I'm vastly curious about their possibilities. I know only just enough about Hizumi to be interested. :)

So he'd need to focus on learning Dunamis and working with whatever emotions Jade left behind in that amulet it sounds like!

They can definitely discuss learning dunamis then-- Hizumi was part of the very first group to study any of it, and he's had plenty of time to polish it to his needs, too! Depending on how the aiada stuff shakes out (mmmostly so I don't take on too many threads) we could log something!

After the Aiada stuff, then, we'll see where we stand? I totally sympathize re: too many threads. I shouuuuld have some time later this weekend to actually boomerang, too, if you want to knock any more of that thread out in one big chunk.

Ooooookay since it looks like the aiada event goes until halfway through the month and I'm also planning on a birthday party for Hizumi, let's maybe start dunamis training proper in december? If they bond a bunch during the event Luke can always drop by the party, too!

I'm super interested in making more CR with these too! Maybe they can get into some equally shameless thing because Sora also has very little filter. or they can bond about how they're sort of dating someone but not really

It looks like we'll be having a cooldown period, so if there turns out to be some good shenanigans that pop up, I'll happily throw him in! Unless you have plans for any particular tasks or something?

Not too much, haha. I'm signing Ickis up for the dodgeball game and the skateboarding competition. And he's gonna cheat on Hizumi and eat someone else's trash for some quick money off the task board assignment, lol. But beyond that, he'll just be doing more of what he's been doing so far (and will probably do for the rest of the game): scaring people and eating garbage. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any posts or mingle top-levels with Hizumi, though! Maybe they'll meet again at the festival that's coming up?

For now, is it ok to hand-wave that Ickis pops by the cat cafe a couple times a week to eat their garbage? Lol...

But yes, feel free to handwave that! It looks like Hizumi's going to be tied up with Aiada stuff for a while (and in the interest of not overtaxing myself with threads I'll likely be sticking primarily to that this month) but maybe later in the month we can get up to something?

Absolutely. I think our current thread has def established enough CR to last a while! Maybe they'll see each other at the festival later on, but nbd if not. Hizumi def made an impression on Ickis, he's probs the only human in Verens he really trusts so far, so he'll not forget, no rush whatsoever! I'll have him try and meet other members of the cat cafe in the meantime, if the chance comes up. :)
