Halloween Feelings

This is a little quick mod announcement regarding what will be happening during the last week of October. As everyone should know by now, Empatheias itself does not have a "Halloween." However, characters who are familiar with the holiday are still throwing a party and being festive. That particular festive feeling is also going to be affecting the city in a subtle yet unique way.
- Something Sweet. During particular happy moments, rather than the usual "sunshine and rainbows," things actually take a bit of a candy form. That light post is suddenly now looking a lot like a lollipop. That cone is now a candy corn. That bench over there now looks like a candy bar. Even the air smells sweeter and food might taste a bit more like candy to the individual. However, though things may look like candy, they are not actually candy. So if someone tried to take a bite, they'll be in for a nasty surprise. Still, it's quite a different change than most are used to. Things changing colors or flowers sprouting, sure, actually changing something's image?
- Something Spooky. During particular negative moments, things will actually move and shift around. This might not seem too unusual. After all, sometimes strong emotional outbursts might cause things to break or gusts of wind to push things away. But the way these objects move will be a little creepier and more abrupt than usual. The objects will behave more similar to a ghost or poltergeist. There will even be strange "creaking" or "moaning" sounds that might be heard.
Simple, right? In addition, those who actually come from worlds that celebrate Halloween will have a larger impacts than those who only recently heard about it. So for instance, one person might have an entire block of sidewalk turn into taffy whereas another could only manage a simple window change.
Just keep in mind that these are emotion based and also can work in conjunction with normal emotional reactions. They are also not replacing normal emotional effects. So it is possible for someone to not be affected at all.
