— FLOWER KING AND QUEEN 2016: NOMINATIONS & VOTING —

All right guys! As we mentioned in the announcement, we're going ahead and getting the nominations started a day early so people can get that up and out of the way without having to worry about it during actual thread. Details about all of this can be found here.

As of April 12, this post is ONLY for nominations! Voting does not start until tomorrow, April 13. We know people would want to go ahead and do that, too, but this heads up is to try and fill up the roster so when people do their voting, they get most of it done in one shot.

You can nominate anyone until Thursday, April 14, 11:59PM CST and voting ends Friday, April 15, 11:59PM CST. We'll give out one last reminder for votes so that everyone has a fair shot. The process for both is very simple.

» NOMINATIONS

To nominate someone to be Flower King or Queen, all you have to do is comment to the respective thread. There will be a form under each heading that you copy and fill out. There is no limit as to how many people a character can nominate. This year, we are requiring that nominees be only characters in-game. Sorry, Bulat's pompadour, you're out of the running this time. The Arehtei also have their own subthread so there is no need to nominate them.

Here's a reminder of the ways your character can be nominated:

Self-nomination. Self-explanatory.
"Friend" nomination. Either they nominate a "friend" or the character is nominated by their "friend."
Staff nomination. Your character was tricked into doing a survey by the staff and now their face is on the screens. Note: other characters can volunteer to be survey takers to help bring in more nominations.

If your character is being nominated by someone else, you can either comment in here with the info or let the other player do it.

IMPORTANT! If your character is nominating another without their knowledge, be sure that you have player permission first!

There will also be an option to include a link(s) to a picture of the character. No embedded/in-line pictures, please (we want to keep this post as simple and clean as possible!). If you're nominating someone else's character, be sure to ask them if they have a preference of what to use. Because characters can send mental images of the character, you can have free rein. Face or fully body pictures are allowed. (Mostly) Safe for work pictures only. Showing skin is fine, and some suggestiveness is A-OK, just not full nude.

Gender does not matter for which category a character is nominated for. In addition, a character can be nominated for both categories. HOWEVER, we would prefer if you picked one. We just know it's also pretty funny when a friend is in both categories. If somehow a character wins both categories, they will be selected for the one they had the most votes in and the runner-up of the other category will win.

» VOTING

Voting is very simple. ICly, characters can either vote on the site at one of the many curtained voting booths OR be solicited by staff to vote. The staff are really into it this year. Characters can vote for multiple candidates, but can only vote once per candidate.

This year, we are doing a ranking system. For each candidate they vote for, characters must rank the candidate from 1 to 3, with 3 being the highest number of points possible.

When commenting, all you need is to put "+1," "+2," or "+3" in the subject line. You can leave the the comment blank or leave an IC message of some kind. These messages will be publicly displayed around each individual's picture.

» NO THREADING!

It will be tempting, but please refrain from commenting on this post so that it can stay clean and organized. Characters can still ICly react to the voting as well as to any comments left on the votes in the designated log.
