Concerns: Hoo boy. Lately I feel like I'm either on a good roll in terms of voices, or I'm hitting some kind of stale streak that makes me want to pound my head against the keyboard. Recent hiatus has helped a great deal, as well as hitting the books for inspiration. But it's been a really long time since anyone's ever given me critique and I'd really appreciate any suggestions or tips for any of my guys.

Alvin I feel pretty okay on, but I always feel like I could do more with him. I've also been playing him a couple of years now in different scenarios with varying degrees of development, so it's very possible that I've grown "too used" to him and have missed key things. Please do point those things out!

Shizuo is one of the ones I feel uncertain about. On the one hand, he's a quiet guy by nature so he can definitely be a bit on the more "mundane, boring" side, but I also think I might be being too cautious in not having him explode in anger. Now that I think about it, I honestly can't remember when he had a real "on screen" anger fallout. He's been working on it and the setting lends to that, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be mad! Engh. I definitely don't want him flipping out on any person's character, though, at least not without warning. The other thing is I don't want to overdo it since I never like overplaying certain traits (even if he really does get pissed off easily). So any suggestions about how to go about that would be greatly appreciated, as well as ways to make dialogue conversations be more engaging. Unlike Alvin or Hak, he's very...simple and while I'm usually enjoying it, I wonder about the other side. I try as much as I can while being IC, but I don't want anyone to feel like they're having to carry the conversation because of it (because that's definitely no fun). So anyone who has threaded with him and found it difficult, please tell me! It would really help me figure out how to better improve and I would love different perspectives.

Hak is still a new guy for me and it's been a little touch and go in settling into his voice. I feel more comfortable now, but I also feel like I'm missing opportunities or may have him respond one way and then think, "Wait, shoot, maybe he should have acted like this 8|a" However I'm not sure if that's my uncertainty speaking or if I really am doing something wrong.

And finally, I'm pretty much open to anything else that could be improved. Hopefully I'm giving enough content to work with, but if I've been slacking lately or giving too much introspection, please let me know. I know I can tl;dr ah ha ha ha... I think Shizuo gets the bulk of it since he's the quiet one and I'm trying to compensate for his shorter responses. It's been an interesting balancing act.

Anything else: Due to all the moving going on, I've been deliberately cutting back and trying not to overextend myself (because I did that recently and that was bad). This kind of affects Alvin most out of my guys since he could be doing more but I'm holding off until things are settled. I need to do more logging things, too—I think I stuck to the network for the most part this month since it would be easier to keep up during this time. But that's something I'm also keeping in mind for once things settle. I think that's it.
