The second link runs into the same problem, with the post itself being too early in September to be used. From our AC clarifications.

The first one can be used towards AC, but does fall short of the 7 comments needed for activity. You'd need an additional thread of at least 3 comments or three additional comments on the thread provided. If not, you're free to take a strike as well if needed.
