Plot Incoming in 3...2...1 More day!

Heya hi everyone!

Just wanted to drop everyone a reminder that the player plot Extreme Measures, aka To Kill an Arehtei (aka Machina plz stop with the Bad Life Decisions) will be starting tomorrow. All the details and information on the plot can be found over here.

It's not too late to participate! If you haven't signed up, you still can. But! Even if you don't sign up, do feel free to jump right on in and enjoy the action. And don't feel locked in to your original choice. If something else seems more appealing to you when the event goes live, knock yourself out and change it up.

We're crazy excited for the event and hope you all are too!

the current plans are to have six toplevels by us for the six official options but, everyone participating is also welcome to make their own toplevels for any coordination, planning with friends, screaming wtf is wrong with this dummy, etc...

Yep he will! And the entire time until the blacks out. So friends who haven't seen it are in for a real treat and free not to recognize him until he says something, or moves familiar, etc.

Just so I know how on time I ought to be, are you going to make a top level to quarantine all the evacuation and rescue threads into one spot, or should I? Is it even necessary, if all the actual fight top levels are at the top? Doesn't make much difference to me! I'd just like to be sure.

I know right now the plan is for the post itself to scene set with the meat of the threads to go into top levels. But if you want to write/post the evac toplevel when the event goes live, that'd be super awesome. I don't know if you've got me and Xae on plurk, but if you wanna add us so you can coordinate posting one at the time it goes live, that'd be golden. (I'm magicarp on there.)

And now that I think on it, maybe in the top level we'll want clickable links to each of the options, so we can link evac too. I'll poke Xae about that real quick.

Yeah that'd be great! we've got ours written and ready to go. She'll be the one posting and timing it with Sosyne's call for help so this'll work great.

And ahhhhh I'm so so happy to see so much excitement and involvement going with the plot.

(btw are the enforcers hiring and do they take attempted assassins? Because guess which dumb boy is out of a job when he gets out of jail.)

There aren't any players technically in charge of the Enforcers right now, I've just been around for something like twelve centuries so Kevin has a buttload of IC experience to bring to the table for something like this. As far as hiring goes, they're always hiring, but they've been burned before by an Otherworlder doing dumb murderous shit so we'd have to squeak some excuses I think! If you're planning to have a "visit him in the clink" prompt I can have Kevin come scowl at him after and we'll go from there.

I'll go ahead and do up the prompt and PM it to both yours and Velvet's journals, and then you can do whatever editing you need to do for it. o/

I wholly endorse all the scowling and "wtf were you thinking?" visits in jail. I plan to have a jailbird visitation log after the plot's gotten well underway (even if it's backdated a little). So yeah let's do it and just go from there.

Honestly though, it's less that Machina is a murderous piece of trash and more that he's a dumb kid who keeps making Bad Life Decisions. He's still trash though.

Yeah, if he's a dumb kid Kevin may wind up adopting him sooner or later, he does that. Please look forward to it.
