Arehtei Rituals [March]
Hello everyone! Thank you to all those who participated in last month’s Arehtei rituals! We had a pretty good turn out and I hope to see just as many, if not more this month!
Due to disturbing reports from Shaarnath, we will be focusing heavily on Thras this month but still a little bit of Elios and Aiada!
This month's focus is: Thras (+), Elios (-), and Aiada (-)
The generators will be set at: Bravery, Hate, and Envy
What are Rituals?
Rumor has it that they were started, and named after, the rituals that a Shinto maiden performed in the aiding of the Arehtei. They are group sessions of individuals who wish to gather at the old shrine ruins outside of Verens to help with the imbalances of the Arehtei.
How do Rituals work?
A space is prepared in the shrine ruins just for this activity, which happens every other day of every month. The sessions are generally short, 5-10 minutes, and involve the channeling of target emotions by those involved. This can be through meditation, or certain activities that help to promote the desired emotions, providing they don't cause any interference. This can include, but is not limited to, eating/drinking emotion food, physical activities like push ups, reading a good book, or doing a hobby like crocheting. It all depends on the character and what gets them to feel the desired emotion! Everyone is encouraged to do their own thing in a safe space without having to worry about emotional consequences.
The purpose is to help people focus these emotions where they might not otherwise do so on their own. Providing an atmosphere of support and a desire to help the world around them. But most importantly, to help the Arehtei that are leaning too far on one end of their emotional spectrum so they can achieve balance again. Because when the Arehtei are out of balance, bad things happen. Everyone and anyone is welcome to attend and the help is appreciated! Sometimes even the Arehtei themselves have been known to attend!
Also, there are three large machines that have been set up in the perimeter of the area. They are emotion generators and put out a low key amount of whatever emotion they are set to emit. Enough to affect and encourage those emotions, but not enough to cause them against anyone's will or make them go crazy. Think of it like a boost of the desired emotion that the character is already aiming for. They will each be set at different emotions each month, and will promote them within their range, which is the immediate area of the shrine.
How do you get involved?
Below are a set of numbers that represent the days of the month that rituals are taking place. Beside them is the two letters that designate the Arehtei that is being focused on for that day. Such as So for Sosyne. Once you decide which days your character will participate, simply fill out the provided form and post it! At the end of the month I will post the results to the emotion tracker. It's that easy! You may edit it as you like in case your character's plans change! Just please do so before the end of the month!
Alternatively, private sessions can also be done! The generators are there and active 24/7 for eveyone’s use! A character can arrange this with Obi-Wan. Though they will be encouraged to stick to the schedule, they don’t abdolutely have to. Simply alter your post accordingly and state your reason your character is either doing a different day or a different Arehtei than scheduled. Note that Obi-Wan will not change the emotion setting for an Arehtei that is not being focused on that month. Such as if someone is wanting to do a Sosyne ritual when she is not the focus, your character won’t get a generator bonus.
Also, the formula I am using for normal rituals is 2 points per session plus 1 point for generator influence. If your character wants to go all out and do a higher amount of points then you may mark each day with + or - the total number of points you think they would do including generator influence. The max being 10 of course. Just please don’t do something like 5 days of all 10s. Also, if you believe your character would get destructive they would be asked to go outside the ruins to do their ritual. The range of the generators can be extended some to accommodate.

Thras, positive(bravery): confidence, arrogance, bravery, determination, ambition, righteousness, strength
In total there are 11 Thras, 2 Aiada, 2 Elios
