alas that many of them are for the PS3 or PS4 at this point. (Even Tales of Symphonia, originally for the GameCube, was remastered and rereleased on the PS3.) fortunately they're like Final Fantasy in that you can pick basically any one you want and hop in without losing anything by not playing the others.
the ones that actually do exist on the PS2 are Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Legendia. I don't recommend Legendia as a jumping-in point -- it's kind of experimental for the series -- but Tales of the Abyss is Luke's canon, so if you're curious you're in luck. ;)
I know it can be pretty frustrating to be a lone canon warrior, especially from an obscure canon, so I'm really glad you're trucking along anyway. Here's to future strange friendships~
