Dezel typically needs help taking tasks because the locals can't see or hear him due to their lack of spiritual insight, though knowing what I do about Chise's character, I think she should be able to perceive him just fine? Anyway, Dezel wouldn't be quite so interested in the money involved as he would be in just visiting with a giant cat. He's an animal/nature lover, so honestly he'd give the kitty scritches for free and let Chise collect the money for herself. Heh.
