Hey! My character appears in more than one canon (He's taken from Final Fantasy II, but is one of the playable characters in Dissidia, a cross-Final-Fantasy-series marketing stunt fighting game. Would it be okay to switch him to his alternate canon for this event?
Ion will not be affected only because her Oversight ability covers the knowledge/understanding of different alternate realities in canon. She's kind of immune to reality shifts anyways, so altered memories is even less of an issue for her.
NEVERTHELESS, I'd love to have Ion running around and doing damage control. So if you want her to help sort out your character's confused memories, I'm all for it!

Buffy has several alternate realities in her canon to choose from! She could be the noblewoman she got cursed into for Halloween, hardened Buffy from the Wish Realm, or the Buffy who's catatonic in a mental institution. Or there could be a complete AU, like Buffy having a peaceful life.
I've only just joined and begun to meet people, but if anyone wants to start off CR with Buffy with this event, let me know! Maybe our characters could have roles in each others' dreams? That'd be a fun way for them to meet. C:

Is it okay for characters to do guest spots in each other's dreams?
North will be inheriting memories from my Everyone Lives AU, where the Freelancers all survived the events that kill them in canon. Most of what North will be going through is outlined here in this fic, though he probably won't go as far as to remember Wash and the Reds.
The tl;dr is that he survived the Meta attack and was taken back to Freelancer HQ, where he was essentially kept on stand-by until the project feel. Then the Oversight Committee scooped him up and the Chairman sent him off to Chorus where he met Locus and is not having the best time. He's lonely and needs friends.
Roxas will be thinking that he's a normal kid from Twilight Town. It's a pretty quiet place where odd things happen and maybe some guys in black cloaks hang around but it's got nothing to do with him. He just wants to get his homework done and hang out with his friends.
Essentially he's the NPC this time, and not the protagonist.

So yes... Jade's going to be affected by the false memories! He'll be thinking he came from a world where the Score came true, aka that one AU where Peony is killed and Jade proceeds to screw up the world by spreading the so-called plague that'll bring about the end of the worldbecause fuck this shit, really, is this how people repay them for saving the world Yulia damn it. And without certain friends to keep him in check (because this is pretty much an "everyone is dead except Jade" AU), Jade's probably as emotionally stable as a ticking time bomb at the moment.

I'd like to opt Yang out of the reality warping aspects of the event! I have a couple of options for why but I want to make sure one or more of them are in-line with the event/game.
1) In canon, Yang's already had her perception of reality screwed with thanks to another character's abilities. She also hasn't forgotten the effect Elios's influence had on her in June so she'll be extra vigilant about stuff messing with her thoughts.
2) If this is an actual infectious disease, it's possible Yang's Aura (which has a healing aspect to it) may be helping her fight off the full effects?
If nothing else, I can just have her not remember her dreams upon waking, but I wanted to see if one of these other ideas was possible.

For this event, I figure Marcille will be convinced that it really is true, she really is THE MOST TALENTED STUDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE MAGIC ACADEMY. PAY HOMAGE, PLEBES. Which is to say that she'll be slightly more dramatic than usual and eager to help, if by help you mean make problems worse by trying to solve them with unnecessary magical overkill.
I don't think the world will benefit by Trunks being convinced he's a glorious warrior of Saiyan lineage (just like his dad!), so he'll probably just be playing it normal unless I can think of something else.

I have some ideas for Weiss' AU dreams!
1) Pluto Boobly will have impregnated her.
1) Weiss never left Atlas prior to attending Beacon. She'll be a pet to her father, not a Huntress-in-training, and she will be bitchier than ever. :')
2) She isn't an Otherworlder and grew up in Verens! Her family owns a salt mine and they are the major distributors of salt amongst all the other islands. This is more of a RWBY-equivalent of a more mundane life.
3) She's a former country singer, turned pop idol! And she sings the most bitter of songs about her ex-boyfriends, and one of her exes is Lookie from the Scavengers movie. HAHHHHH...
These are just stuff I have considered, and I'm open to any other ideas! I don't mind having shared AUs as well. :) Having multiple realities should be okay... right??? RIGHT???? IDENTITY CRISIS GALORE.

Zero's AU will be that he was never turned into a vampire. His parents never hunted Shizuka's lover, therefore she never attacked/killed them/bit him. His twin will still be weak due to the hunter's curse, however never died and never betrayed the family. He'll likely never attended Cross Academy, therefore only being aware of the Night Class other than their names and the families they're from and their status - still attending the soirees as security - and he'll not know of Yuuki or any of the Kuran's except for the fact that they are at the top of not just the vampire race, but also purebloods.
His training as a hunter will have continued through his early teens. Although canonly he's seen as the strongest hunter, he'll be even more talented, especially as he's still under the tutelage of his Master, who similarly had been known as the most powerful hunter. As it is, he was seen (in canon) as a child prodigy, and that hasn't changed.
Personality-wise, he's more casual and relaxed. He is from a canon point, already, where he's calm and composed; that won't change much, but to people who know him they might be able to tell. He won't bear any deeply rooted hatred towards vampires, but not openly friendly. More noticeably so is that he won't be as anti-social, and pretty easy to make friends & get along with (he may even gasp, SMILE more). Additionally, while not stuck up or a braggart, he'll talk of himself more. Just a little, but still pretty humble.

I'll definitely warn when I hit spoilers, however.

I'm going all-in on this, so here's a few ideas I'm floating for Ruby:
1. At the fall of Beacon, Adam Taurus killed Yang, leaving Ruby absolutely devastated. She doesn't travel to Mistral with RNJR, instead forging ahead on her own to track down the White Fang.
2. Summer Rose disappeared during her last known mission, but there have been rumors floating around Remnant about her for years. So, in a sense, Summer Rose will take on a role more like that of Raven, though Ruby still hasn't seen her since a young age.
3. I'm toying with the idea of Qrow being her dad, and his Semblance having a negative effect on her life despite the fact that they have a strong relationship. Things just always seem to go wrong for Ruby, culminating in Yang's death. That's what happens when you're the daughter of a bad luck charm. :') As such, she has a hard time forming strong relationships with people, and her teammates were the first real friends she's ever had.
These events will make Ruby a lot more bitter and acerbic, and while she still wants to mend the world, she's going about it in more of a revenge-bent, anti-hero way.
I'm open to any other ideas and/or AU CR! So hit me up if you've got a specific idea you want to run with Ruby!

For Steven Universe, I'm thinking of having him end up thinking that he's just a normal human teenager. His gem will react to that and make him look his age - so basically for a while he won't be tiny and will be more like a normal teenager. And probably get used to his gem all over again?
Gundam Tanaka may end up getting false memories of having a different talent other than his current one. Probably something funny - at the moment I'm thinking of having it be one that leads him to act openly nice for a change, if aggressively so.
And I haven't really thought about anything for Phoenix Wright yet!

Perfect timing to bring in a flower-loving lady in, right? Makoto will definitely be affected, and her AU self will be the version of her seen in the anime... more specifically the FIRST English Dub. Notable differences include:
1) Answering to the name "Lita."
2) Anime timeline instead of manga timeline, and since Stars was never dubbed by Dic her last "canon point" will be after defeating Nehellenia the first time. Possibly also thinking she's from America.
3) She's a skilled practitioner of multiple martial arts instead of being self taught (haven't decided on whether to have her actually be able to pull it off or "suddenly lose her prowess").
4) Thinking every guy her "age" or older (and even some dogs) look like her "ex-boyfriend. (The most she'll do is give gaga looks and crush a bit, no attempted hugs or kisses. If you're still uncomfortable please feel free to tell me you'd like to opt out.)
5) Thinking that her mom is still alive and well, and that she has an undetermined number of siblings. =')
Allura is probably going to be affected too (darn you, juniberries), but instead of going full 80s Allura or Fala, I might just make some small tweaks in her timeline. These are just rough ideas for now; I may or may not use all of these, and more ideas would definitely be welcome.

2) Coran making sure that Alfor got into the pod instead of him. His memory AI is still a huge part of the Castle's mainframe, and he never got infected by a Galra virus.
3) Loving spicy food to bits.
4) Remembering Pidge as ACTUALLY a boy.
5) Lance is her younger brother, and he had a mullet back home (which he'll insist was a queue).

Kylo Ren will be basically living this reversed roles AU, but not to the point that he's rebelled against his parents yet—so he's still basically dark side, except it's only because his family is ~evil~ and fighting against mom and uncle is terrifying.
At this point in his AU Emp life, though, he'll definitely be dedicated to the idea of defecting to the light and joining the Jedi and Resistance and all that good stuff so... less of a jerk?! Wow. Appreciate it while you can, Empatheias.

He has either faked or stolen credit for all his success, and the thought of actually fighting a monster terrifies the crap out of him. He'd sooner leave everyone behind and RUN.
Rather than being an actual hero, he's more obsessed with his image and being perceived as one. Jaune has never worked hard for anything in his life and is basically a freeloader, getting what he wants just by talking his way through things and being perfectly okay with that. Because of that, he's also had more success with the ladies than he does in reality. Sadly, it hasn't made him a better person.
Kay Faraday is his AU sister, but I'm happy to plot out more cross-false-memory shenanigans/backstories with other characters!

Sebastian Debeste is going to forget most of his character development, which means he'll revert back into a self-centered little shit obsessed with being The Best. He's convinced he's a genius prosecutor (he isn't) who he aced all his tests (he didn't) and spends a lot of time trying to convince everyone how clever he is (literally no one thinks he's clever). He's not above putting other people down and taking credit for their work to boost his own ego, either.
And just to make his ego even worse, the false memories will make him think he actually won the cases he lost so he'll be even less self-aware than he was in canon. Basically, the odds of anyone getting through to him with rational arguments are not high.

What better way to introduce someone to this whole other world by emotionally wrecking them? 8'D
So Bridge is going to have false memories of pretty much the Good Path his life could have taken:
1) His mother never left him and his dad when he was little.
2) He never lost control of his powers or his childhood best friend
3) His father never passed away
Of course, he won't really talk about his life much before the event. But during the event, there might be some conflict in his accounts of his memories that people might be able to notice while he's sharing.

Donatello will escape the effects of the epidemic thanks to two factors; his genius-level intellect and his natural immune resistence. Canonically, when infected with a mutation virus that almost immediately turns its victims into grotesque monstrosities, his immune system suppressed it for weeks with no more than cold symptoms to show for it. It eventually overtook him, in part because he ran himself ragged, but that canon point will be something for the future.
As is his nature, Donatello will be very interested in performing damage control and finding a cure. He was the lead in studying the mutation virus and could be of assistance to the efforts....if he's not too busy trying to calm the chaos the rest of you are planning.

Kay Faraday is going the way of almost every Ace Attorney Prosecutor (TM). After the death of her father in canon, she forges a path of revenge and seeks to become a prosecutor to crush all defense attorneys. To her, they are fakes, they are con artists, and they will not hesitate to use anyone for their own ends. She goes as far as to even adopt the von Karma creed - to be perfect, so she can perfectly win every case - and to detest any lawyer who does not give their all in a case or who is incompetent in some way, after being accused of murder at the Babahl Embassy and what happened to her at the Grand Tower (insert AAI2 spoilers here).
Note that she will only think of herself as a student of prosecution, not a real full-blown prosecutor.
As a result, she will become more pretentious, smug and even a little manipulative, but she will retain her good heart. As long as you give her no reason to take you down (a.k.a. you're not a defense attorney or allied with one or a terrible lawyer in general or a criminal), she'll treat you well enough. She'll just be...more insufferable than usual and be more in-your-face with wanting truth and justice (seeking the truth will still weigh more on her than revenge in the end, but she will be very conflicted with those feelings).
Her logic will still need work though. Despite her AU, Kay's intelligence will remain where it is so she will be quite frustrated with what she doesn't know or understand.
Her AU older brother is Jaune, but I am open to more AU family members/friends/rivals! Plot with me, tell me your name, etc. I'm not yet sure what else I want but that's pretty much the framework.

We don't have any CR but oh I just cannot *wait* to see this version of Kay. Now I kinda wish I still played Franziska. =)
Nora Valkyrie will be adopted by Steven Stone in her AU. She will remember having Pokemon (mostly electric types but with a smattering of steel and rock in there), but as a result of being adopted, she will either not remember Ren at all, or have a less deep relationship with Ren because she has never had to depend on him entirely in her life. And poof, she is now a rich young heiress.
This Nora will have less experience in battle because she has lived a cushier life and has had her Pokemon fight most of her battles. Although she will still be friendly and cheerful, she will be coming from a very privileged status and may accidentally be tactless sometimes. However, she will at least be honest about how she doesn't really fight...as "honest" as she can be with false memories, though. People are free to convince her that she's actually a combat instructor here and a very proficient fighter.

And because she has never experienced hunger (as much), she will...have less interest in food. Gasp.

Penelo's AU is going to be a little different from canon, though not hugely divergent because of some other plans I have.
That said, I'm absolutely open to anyone who wants to have their character be related to her or be from Ivalice in one way or another. I will happily work with anyone who wants to make this work come up with a way to fit your character in, because these kinds of AUs are fun and lead to some very interesting, mixed up CR and friendships.
Penelo's actual AU is a canon divergence that starts during FFXII's prologue. The AU is moving the timeline along a little so that the Empire attacked Nabradia and Dalmasca two or three years later, and rather than spending time as an orphan due to the war, Penelo joined the Knights of Dalmasca with her older brothers to defend the homeland. They died, as in canon, and Penelo ended up joining the resistance with Captain Vossler and "Amalia" (Princess Ashe). To sort of twist the knife, Noel is going to be an Imperial Judge that's responsible for the death of one of her brothers.

He will be known as Janus and will be confused if people refer to him as Magus.
Basically in this AU, his mother was corrupted by Lavos and the Ocean Palace did blow up and cause all sorts of mayhem, but he and Schala survived and lived on the land. From then on, they established a new kingdom of Zeal, but the non-magic-users were treated much better. That asshole Dalton also survived and tried to establish a new kingdom too, and succeeded somewhat. So the two kingdoms are at war and Janus has grown up as a warlord in a similar fashion.
In this AU, though, his magic isn't as good. While he is a magic-user, he did not have as much need to cultivate it. He also is not hell-bent on revenge, even though he still hates Lavos for corrupting his mother. He's not as evil either. With the influence of his sister, he is a bit kinder and more empathetic so he's a more diplomatic prince. He is more used to people respecting him as a person and not a powerful figurehead.
So basically, the key differences: Magus is Janus. Janus is the crown prince of a new kingdom at war. He is nicer to people and tries to be a bit more empathetic. He doesn't resort to violence as much. He will also be confused as to why he looks somewhat inhuman in his appearance.
