arehtei rituals?? what the
Hi there, gang! Remember the rituals? It's alright if you don't, since they've had a change from how they used to run, and I've got a quick breakdown on that and their form right here! Just look under the cut for more details.
The rituals, and how they work:
The rituals were started by a now gone character called Sanae Kochiya from Touhou Project, based on Shinto dance and prayer. This was back when the relationship between people and Arehtei was sloppy to non-existent, and it put a strain on people to perform, requiring pillars for connections and those to perform a dance to get it going, to send the prayers over to them.
Nowadays, it works similarly by having a group of people concentrate upon the emotion they want to send, usually in a protected space enforced by dunamis users. People are encouraged to use memory petals to help them focus on a particular emotion, and the space, with the concentration of the single emotion, will hum with a low energy that encourages one's thoughts towards the emotion of the session, since the dunamis practitioners are there to keep a control on the emotional release so no one gets overwhelmed one way or another.
The sessions last for around 10-15 minutes, and then people are free to get up and have a refreshment. Some may feel lightheaded from the emotion and some stiff legs from sitting in place, but otherwise, all should be well.
This month will have a small handful of rituals for Aiada, Thras, and Sosyne due to Aiada being far too positive (wowie! our first negative ritual!), Thras's shrine looking poor for a guy with a city of alignments, and for Sosyne being....Sosyne. The days for the rituals are:
10 - 12 - 14 - 18 - 20 - 22 - 24 - 26 - 28 - 30
Ai - Th - Ai - So - Ai - Th - Ai - So - Ai - So
Would your character be interested in attending? Then just fill out this form by the very last day of the month (Sun, 30th April), and at the end they will be included into the tracker! You're free to make changes if you want to add or remove sessions, but once they're submitted to the tracker it's too late!
There may be more next month, but that will be arranged then and not now. Also while I would have been happy to put up a log for this, I know everyone will be busy with the flower festival. However, if there is interest for one, I could possibly put one up next month. Sessions will be taking place in a hall normally used for parties within the city, and a certain white fluffy sprite can be spotted during the jealousy sessions...
