Quick question in regards to item regains - can these regains be items that a character owns / has owned or can it be any item in seen in their canon that pertains to them?

The example I have in mind, specifically is (under a spoiler cut for SDR2 spoilers):

Would it be possible for Hinata to regain items from the Neo World Program that he obtained from the Monomono Yachine/chapters or would that be a no go, considering his canon point?
