The game is getting pretty huge, and it's plot-heavy to boot. There's plenty of opportunity to meet other characters in the event or mingle logs, but what about the rest of the time? Surely there are characters who trip over each other once a week just because they visit the same grocery store, or characters who haunt the same places because they have the same hobbies. So, here are some questions to help you sort out what we're all up to when there aren't any giant mythical beings attempting to stomp the city flat, and how our characters might be attracting one another's attention from day to day. It may be that some of us need only a little push to fall into each other's fictional pretendy funtime arms.

1) Notable physical features: (Is there anything about your character's appearance that is likely to draw attention? Weird hair? Sword bigger than they are? Constantly wearing armor? Conga line of Pokemon following them down the street?)

2) Age: (Child? Grownup? Teenager? Ageless being with startlingly young features?)

3) What are some of their most common emotional effects?: (Do they leave trails of flowers in their wake everywhere they go, or are they prone to causing small thunderstorms in public?)

4) Where they live, and what their home is like: (Are they in the apartments in the standard residential area? Have they found a shifty hidey-hole for themselves in the slums, or have they moved into another neighborhood to live amongst the rich people? Who are their roommates?)

5) What they do during an average day in Verens: (Stay home, do chores, read, meet up with people, have a lot of feelings okaaaaaay, so on.)

6) Their general sense of fashion: (What they tend to wear when they're not wearing their usual canon getups.)

7) Hobbies: (Does your character like to draw? If so, maybe they cross paths with this other person who likes to draw in one of the local art stores. If they are a fighter, maybe other characters have seen them around the training grounds.)

8) Jobs: (Are they a clerk in a shop other characters might have reason to visit? Are they part of the waitstaff in a restaurant other characters might frequent? Do they deliver all over town, and meet up with several store owners?)

9) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?:

10) How long have they been in Empatheias? How has their time here impacted them?: (Do they hate it or want to stay? Are they invested in whatever's going on around them, or do they try not to get involved? How do they interact with the new folks?)

11) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?:

12) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the amulets?: (Are they articulate over the amulets, but hesitant and shy in person? Do they hate the amulets and avoid using them? Do they prefer image, voice, or text?)

13) Is Empatheias a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?:

14) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?:

15) Do you have any goals for your character? Are there any hobbies you want them to discover or abilities you want them to learn?:

Firstly I just want you to know that your threads crack my shit up, I love reading them.

That said, Kevin's a sweets fiend who prides himself on knowing every bakery in town like the back of his hand, so I imagine they've done the two-ships-passing-in-the-night thing at least a couple times by now if nothing else. Would they have spoken to each other at all, do you think? Kevin's been around long enough that he's become massively desensitized to people who are shaped funny, so he wouldn't really care much about the squid man thing, if that helps. He wouldn't really get on Lovecraft's case about anything unless he was actively causing trouble.

Aw, I'm glad you like him, I aim to provide all the funny squid times I can manage.

AND YES I believe they would've run into each other multiple times, and would've chatted about the sweets they like (though in Lovecraft's case, it's probably "EVERY SWEET"). He probably wouldn't show off his tentacle self during those times, but still, I imagine they'd find in each other a sweet-loving kindred spirit.

Whenever I spot a good opportunity to tag, I'll start him off as cheerful and friendly, then. He's bonded with several people over sweets in the past, so this is pretty much his average acquaintanceship. o7
