The game is getting pretty huge, and it's plot-heavy to boot. There's plenty of opportunity to meet other characters in the event or mingle logs, but what about the rest of the time? Surely there are characters who trip over each other once a week just because they visit the same grocery store, or characters who haunt the same places because they have the same hobbies. So, here are some questions to help you sort out what we're all up to when there aren't any giant mythical beings attempting to stomp the city flat, and how our characters might be attracting one another's attention from day to day. It may be that some of us need only a little push to fall into each other's fictional pretendy funtime arms.

1) Notable physical features: (Is there anything about your character's appearance that is likely to draw attention? Weird hair? Sword bigger than they are? Constantly wearing armor? Conga line of Pokemon following them down the street?)

2) Age: (Child? Grownup? Teenager? Ageless being with startlingly young features?)

3) What are some of their most common emotional effects?: (Do they leave trails of flowers in their wake everywhere they go, or are they prone to causing small thunderstorms in public?)

4) Where they live, and what their home is like: (Are they in the apartments in the standard residential area? Have they found a shifty hidey-hole for themselves in the slums, or have they moved into another neighborhood to live amongst the rich people? Who are their roommates?)

5) What they do during an average day in Verens: (Stay home, do chores, read, meet up with people, have a lot of feelings okaaaaaay, so on.)

6) Their general sense of fashion: (What they tend to wear when they're not wearing their usual canon getups.)

7) Hobbies: (Does your character like to draw? If so, maybe they cross paths with this other person who likes to draw in one of the local art stores. If they are a fighter, maybe other characters have seen them around the training grounds.)

8) Jobs: (Are they a clerk in a shop other characters might have reason to visit? Are they part of the waitstaff in a restaurant other characters might frequent? Do they deliver all over town, and meet up with several store owners?)

9) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?:

10) How long have they been in Empatheias? How has their time here impacted them?: (Do they hate it or want to stay? Are they invested in whatever's going on around them, or do they try not to get involved? How do they interact with the new folks?)

11) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?:

12) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the amulets?: (Are they articulate over the amulets, but hesitant and shy in person? Do they hate the amulets and avoid using them? Do they prefer image, voice, or text?)

1) Notable physical features: Short and scrawny. Golden blond hair, shoulder-length and unruly. Blue eyes. Pointy fangs that are visible when he smiles and eats (which is often). Wears a gold medallion with a dragon engraved, either around his neck or hanging from a bandana.

2) Age: "Ageless being with startlingly young features? ← ayyyyy lmao. He looks 17 but he's secretly old as balls.

3) What are some of their most common emotional effects?: He sparkles when he's in a good mood, and also does the flower trailing in very good days. Food around him gets sweeter or more bitter depending on his moods too.

4) Where they live, and what their home is like: He and his wife and dog live in the edge of the city in a residential area, in a regular little house with a yard. They keep it well.

5) What they do during an average day in Verens: He likes to do easy, peaceful tasks for extra money. Sometimes he takes part-time jobs if there's not enough for him to do. He loves to have lunch or buy snacks from different places so he's often seen in restaurants and cafes. He takes his golden retriever on walks on parks. Zeno sometimes misses living in the wilderness and goes to the woods around town to chill and commute with nature.

6) Their general sense of fashion: He doesn't have his entire canon outfit with him but he's tried to emulate things here and there. He likes scarves and trenchcoats and little boots.

7) Hobbies: Is eating a hobby? He eats a lot! He likes to cook casually, too. He's taken gardening here in Empatheias. Also, he's a juggler so you may see him playing with colorful cloth sacks to cheer people up. Dancing is something he enjoys too.

8) Jobs: He's worked as waiter and cook and clerk in NPC places, so you can assume you've seen his big smile.

9) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: He doesn't need weapons but he carries a pocket knife. It's mostly used to peel fruit, but he knows where to stab people if he ever needs to.

10) How long have they been in Empatheias? How has their time here impacted them?: A year and two months now. He's pretty chill, and since his sense of time is distorted he's not in a hurry to come back. He knows he'll be back and he's patient. And some of his dead are here (his wife and one of his brothers) so being with them again makes him happy. He also works as a volunteer at the Center and likes guiding new folks, getting food for them, giving them advice.

11) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: Supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and food stands, bars, etc. Places with nature. The Tree. Hak and Yona's place, and Shu-Ten's cottage.

12) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the amulets?: He might be serious in some amulet conversations if the subject is deep, so his cheery childish attitude in other network posts or in person might be ??? to others sometimes. Then again, that also can be said for his usual IRL personality. He's a weirdo always and talks in semi-third person when he's in his genki mode.

13) Is Empatheias a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Upgrade! His country is a medieval East Asian land (similar to the Three Kingdoms) and he's been around for two millennia. He doesn't understand why so many worlds are obsessed with wheels and crystal screens.

14) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: He's great with people and animals. He has good observational skills. Juggling! Dancing! He has regenerative powers so he's great at getting hurt? He can't get drunk either.

15) Do you have any goals for your character? Are there any hobbies you want them to discover or abilities you want them to learn?: I guess there's the gardening thing, and getting better at cooking with stoves. He just wants to make others smile more and help out.

16) Anything else you want to note?: He can see spirits so ghosts and ToZ seraphs would be visible to him. Also, he has dragon blood.

Hmm, great with animals and enjoys walks in the parks with his dog, you say?

Since he should be able to see the seraphim, possible he and Dezel have seen one another before in one the parks, perhaps? Might be something to springboard off of for actual threaded out CR at some point?

That sounds great! :D Zeno will likely recognize him from sight, so it'd be great. He's already talked to Edna so he knows seraphs exist and are generally invisible to most, even though he's not 100% sure of what they are.

Ah, that does work out, then! In that case, I'll keep an out for a chance to throw Dezel at Zeno. They can bond over talk about dogs and animals in general, and maybe about food and cooking, as well (since Dezel's also quite good with food prep). X3
