small plotting thing!
Hello fellow Empatheians! I have a small plot-thing brewing that some of you might be interested in. In light of recent events (most Aiada-related), along with a long-standing resentment of Otherworlders that seems to ebb and flow within the native populace, I had an idea that a select few NPC natives might become a little more vocal about their anti-Otherworlder sentiment.
As in holding small protests outside the Symposium and proposing citizens' arrests of Otherworlders who caused damage/injured people/killed people while possessed during the Aiada event. Obviously, it's a small number of people and definitely not a majority of natives, but this could be an opportunity to let the more extreme anti-Otherworlder NPCs have their say. This is to be played at your discretion; you can have mild heckling, you can have attempted assaults, you can have nothing at all, it's all cool.
The intention is to let it lead up to an Actual Discussion at the Symposium, tying it in with the discussion of "why don't Otherworlders stay dead" as outlined in the Task Board. Obviously, some discussion may be derailed into "how to punish people who can't die" and "we hate all of you" etc etc etc.
To note:
::Not All Natives! Just this small group who tends to hang out outside the Symposium and it should only last about a week. Do what you will with it!
::This is loosely organized. I'll have a network post to kind of kick it off and then let a week or so pass before a general mingle-at-the-Symposium log is posted.
::You'll be doing your own NPCing through this thing. It's all you. Go wild. Have fun.
::We'll date it around those party logs, don't you worry. You can still get your party on. Initial network post will likely be dated for Saturday, the day after Alvin's thing and the discussion log will definitely not be on the 18th. |Db (I'm aiming for a day or so before, since I'm going on hiatus the week of the 20th, but we'll see!)
I thought this could be a fun opportunity to delve into some of the murkier law-and-punishment anti-Otherworlder sentiment that occasionally crops up. I hope this is fun for anyone who decides to participate -- and you can always hit me up for any plotting here or at
