— MONTHLY MOD ANNOUNCEMENT: MAY —

It's May! Exams are near! Actually how many people do we even have that are still in any kind of school we're old here— In any case, this month is going to be packed with a lot of fun stuff. Most of it will happen in the latter half, but we got a few things going on. Most of this is going to be a heads up for what's to come. We also know that there are other plots to happen, but no set date has been made at the time of this posting.

» CALENDAR

The main calendar spreadsheet has been updated here.

But here are the basic dates to keep up with:

5/01: Canon and Original Character Applications open.
5/04: Applications close; Reservations close; Intro log posted.
5/05-06: All applications should be processed by the end of this period.
5/07: ???
5/13: HMD Meme.
5/18: Test Drive.
~5/20: EVENT: Tentative date for game event, will have final dates by mid-month.
5/25: Activity Check starts; Reservations open.
5/31: Activity Check ends.
6/01: Applications open.

There may be a couple of other things that will pop up from both player and mod fronts, so just keep an eye out for those.

» ACTIVITY CHECK RESULTS

Below are the following who were either removed from the Activity Check or dropped out of the game. The list includes all characters who left the game throughout the month. The following names will also be posted in a visible place within the residential area where most of the characters are residing. This list reflects the names that are also on the wall.

» JOBS & TASK BOARD

The Task Board has been updated so characters can start taking on odd jobs if they are so inclined. Details as to how the Task Board works and sign-up can be found here. In addition, there is a Job List sheet that list out more permanent jobs available for characters. These are different from the Task Board jobs as they can be used as part-time or full-time jobs and do not have any specific time period. If you want your character to have a job, that's it. This is also where we will list character run businesses. So if you have one or are thinking about one, there will be a place where it can be referenced and looked at. You can even make tasks relating to your business.

» EMOTION TRACKER UPDATE

The Emotion Tracker has been updated with brand spanking new sheets. Anyone who posts after this announcement will be added to the current sheets (so any late tallies from the previous month can still be counted).

We want to put a reminder that as of last month, we've instituted not only a cleaner format for the tracker, but also set a limit as to how many points a thread can have per emotion so that things stay within a set scale. Copying from last mod post:

There is now a cap of 10 points positive OR negative per Arehtei per thread. That means that for any single thread, an Arehtei should be receiving no more than 20 points (10 positive, 10 negative). Realistically they should be much less than that.

To help players both new and old get a better idea of how to figure out the number of points for any given thread, we would like everyone to consider it like a rating system:

1 point would be for a small but significant moment. Like a heart flutter or a bit of embarrassment.
10 points should only occur if something extremely dire or substantial happens. If it's 10 points, then walls should be breaking, the ground shaking, things exploding everywhere—basically, the really big "oh shit" moments or, for the positive side, "I'M SO HAPPY I COULD DIE" moments.

Everything else will likely fall in-between. We would recommend the highs to average more in the 5's or 6's.

Somehow Piphron won for most number of points. For a month of love, you'd think Elios would have more, although he did have the most postive. But the love Arehtei is quite happy with things. Thras, on the other hand had the least amount. Maybe that's adding to his grumpiness (not really, but never know). Aiada is looking rather positive, but... Is it really enough? Overall, things look pretty good.

» TREE OF MEMORIES POD UPDATE

So as we mentioned last month, we have a Pod Tracker for the Tree of Memories. Although we wound up not using them last month, there are also no set plans for pod reveals this month. If there are, we'll definitely let you know.

» THE COMPLICATED PUZZLE

Huzzah, the puzzle has been solved! The team finally cracked it and are working diligently to see what they can do with it. We have contacted the group for their next phase and they are free to release any information/seek more help based on it.

» ARETA

So weird things happened after the Flower Festival, and for some reason Thras wasn't happy. We've released some information regarding the city, and a research group has been formed and there is a mingle log now available. If you guys are interested, we can continue to push things a little more for the research group to keep things going and try to work on unraveling this mystery. Just keep asking those questions -- and make sure I get them!

» TUNNELS

» STRANGE THINGS AND FEELINGS

There will be some odd occurrences happening by the end of the week and throughout the month, all of which will relate to what will happen at the end of the month. What those are we will not disclose, but rest assured that they are minor, one-time incidents. We will inform any relative parties beforehand. Although we will say hints have been thrown around through various outlets and may become more obvious later.

In addition, those aligned to Aiada are going to feel strange reverberations of the appreciation - jealousy spectrum. It could happen at any time during the month and can range from minor but noticeable to more extreme. These are always quick and brief, so they don't last longer than the time of occurrence. Jealousy may occur more often as well.
