Call-To-Arms Research Plot

Hello, all! Sorry for how late this is, rl ate me up. ;A; Anyway, since Sorey/I've been appointed as "in-charge" of info dispensing and organization gods help us all, here's an OOC post to discuss all that!

So far, this is the info our characters can uncover. If there are questions that weren't covered or that you'd like to take a better angle on, please comment here!

The rest of this post is to discuss who's in on the research and what would be a good way to info dump the game at large. Since this is a lot and lecturing everyone would be a terrible way to go, haha.

I'll be handwaving the IC post regarding gathering people together to make a research team and pool together what everyone finds out, unless people would like for me to put one up that's backdated. However, there will be a post from Sorey letting everyone know how to get the info once we've got that finalized!

Also, ICly, expect Mikleo to be helping Sorey with organizing the information, too. Regular humans won't see him unless they're Sosyne aligned or made an emotional connection with him already. So. Feel free to have your characters know there's an invisible guy during all of this.

I'd like to add if there is anything known about Areta's relationships with other countries and cities besides Verens.

Komaeda would definitely be in for a research team. He'd focus specificially on what legends could be found. Sometimes those tell a lot more than simple information.

In terms of getting the information out, maybe a report like the one on the Arehtei? Available to all to read and contiously updated over time. So people can look at it if they want but on their own time.

... Madison is already spending a lot of time in the library, he can keep note on anything that shows up in his reading. (Hi, I'm burrowed in work and also have a character who will poke at things, so might as well offer his help.)

Lioriley is definitely interested in being a part of the research team and will gladly offer any additional information she finds!

Also seconding the report idea for getting the information out. Something open for everyone to look at when they want and can be updated when necessary.

Armin would like to be on the research team, if one develops! I also agree with Komaeda, keeping a report where people can check it as they please would be the best, in case any characters involved drop.

Shun will be checking this out! He'll be looking into technology especially since that's sort of piqued his interest, but he'll also look into legends a bit whenever he needs a break from too much military/war stuff

Lithia definitely would be glad to help look for info for as long as she can before she leaves on her canon update. She'd be interested in technology and once it came out how similar it is to something in her world, she'd look into things like culture and relationships with other countries or cities.

I'd agree with the others that the best idea may be to have something in the library. Maybe both a summary document and then a listing of all the sources they found. Would it be okay to assume she'll be able to ask someone involved to get the final details by the way?

Hinata will also be looking through this stuff as well and regretting every last minute of it, considering how he feels about "looking towards the future".

/SLAMS HAND DOWN ON DESK Merisia would be very much up for this; task board stuff is getting old and her natural curiosity is getting the better of her. She's not a willing team player, but she's still a team player. And is probably only in on this for a possible treasure hunt or escape route. Whoops. She's still a restless type, though, so she'll insist on tagging along if any researching evolves into exploration-esque excursions; but she's a pro info-gatherer as well so outside of that she'll definitely make herself useful.

She's pretty much all over technology because that's how she rolls, although legends and military history would interest her as well. Her findings may or may not be delivered with a healthy dose of snark, though.

YES HELLO Trahearne needs to occupy his time with someone and oh boy this is the thing. He has experience in uncovering history and geological things so he's 100% ready to go with however they need him. He's also a Thras rep if you wanna bug the dragon through him.
