Player: Kyo Character: Kor Meteor Arehtei: Thras Month Joined: December '14 Success or Fail? Success Backup? While I'd personally like him to get in, Kor would want the most suitable candidates to be chosen. So I ultimately don't mind either way. Has your character interacted with the Arehtei before? Y, several times during the Shaarnath stuff.
Why is your character running? Kor wants to do everything he can to help this world and the Arehtei, basically. He wants to find a way to solve the crises that plague this world, and he both feels that he understands Thras pretty well, and yet wants to understand him--and the other Arehtei by extension--better.
Why should your character be chosen: First off, Kor understands and wants to understand better. On the surface, he's the walking epitome of bravery and courage; someone who is capable of standing strong no matter the odds, able to swallow down his fears and anxieties and charge onward. But he also understands the importance of those fears in the first place. If you don't know fear, can you truly say you know bravery?
Secondly, Kor has been tirelessly working to help the world of Empatheias at large. From the moment he'd come to Empatheias, he's worked as a member of the Enforcers to maintain peace, and as a volunteer at the Observatory to help bring understanding together of the crystal. When Thras unveiled the concept of "Dunamis" to the Otherworlders, he took the challenge head-on and worked tirelessly to both understand it and to pass on its knowledge to others and help them understand it. And whenever danger rears its ugly head, be it from out of control Arehtei or some whackjob thinking they can do as they please, you can bet Kor is out there trying to do whatever he can to put a stop to it. And why? It's not for any sort of personal gain. It's just because he believes that's the right thing to do, and the thing he should do.
Finally, Kor is a Somatic, someone from his world capable of wielding a Soma to perform Spiria Links and form Somatic Bonds. The ultimate purpose of a Soma extends far beyond cleansing a person's heart. It's about bringing people closer together and allowing them to understand and connect with one another on a deeper level. And so it's his hope that he can facilitate a deep bond between the Arehtei and the people one day.
Challenge preferences: Anything is fine!
...
Okay no. Kor is the sort of the person that works best by doing rather than thinking. Physical challenges and tests are his forte, while anything requiring him to use his brain may produce less than stellar results. He's a fighter and a feeler, not a thinker. If you want to cater to him, present a situation similar to (or even requires) a Spiria Link. If you want to challenge him, present him opportunities that do require him to step back and think things through rather than blindly rush headfirst into danger.
