Monthly Enforcers Update
Hey guys, Meowzy and Wighty here! October is an Enforcer Mingle Log-less month, so once again we have this handy little info post of tidbits that members of the Enforcers would and should be aware of! This is the sort of stuff that can be used ICly for plotting!
Also included in its own top-level are the OOC sign-ups for this month. Anyone who joined in the month of September (or earlier) is free to sign up now. If you want more info on what the Enforcers do, you can find it here! The spreadsheet with current members is right here.
Additionally, I have a friendly reminder that the third Commander position is still open to applicants, so anyone who wants to join Bobby and Edea in leading the Enforcers is free to start a campaign for it. (And if you have any questions about that, feel free to ask!)
Without further ado... The Monthly Enforcers Update!
- First up, compliments on all the quick responses to the Sosyne disaster! The Enforcers can pat each other on the back for all their hard work in keeping the people safe. What great heroes of justice we are.
- As we all know, the city is in tatters now. Lots of looting, lots of wild animals, lots of reconstruction. Other specific points of attention are the lake where Sosyne is hiding and the Tree of Memories, which require some additional patrolling. Needless to say, Enforcer characters have their hands full and may be required to work overtime on a regular basis until the city is back on its feet. To compensate for their trouble, they get to eat twice as many pastries on pastry day. ...Also they'll be paid overtime, obviously.
- Once again, nice job on that raid last month! The bandits who were caught have all been tried and found guilty, so the people in Verens get to sleep a little more safely. ...In their, um, somewhat ruined houses. It's a terrible shame and an injustice that that Hitchins guy got killed before he could be tried for the (temporary) murder of Bobby Fulbright, BUT HEY. What can ya do?
- On that note, as it turns out, Sosyne's scales can apparently be used to fuel anger weapons. If anyone finds any, do NOT leave them lying around, as they can clearly fall into wrong hands. Either hand them in to the proper authorities or return them to Sosyne, thank you!
- Also on that note, there is a Mysterious Masked Man in Verens who is clearly up to no good. Whether or not the guy who killed Hitchins and the guy who stole Junko's amulet are the same person remains to be proven.
- On the above note, Edea has raised the possibility that the masked man in question is a member of a rival gang. Looking into the remaining resident gangs might be a good path to take. Who wants to go investigating?
- There's some more trouble afoot. Last month, someone arrived in Verens with a highly contagious disease that could turn fatal in the long run. It's known as tuberculosis. She's currently being treated in the specialized clinic by Dr. Mathis and Dr. Kimishima, whether she can be cured is still unknown at this point. What we do know is that she interacted with several people before she was quarantined and may have infected them. If that did indeed happen, it'll be several years before those people become infectious as well, so there's no immediate threat of a plague. However, anyone who interacted with our patient zero will need to be tracked down so they can be checked out and possibly also treated. Please treat this matter with discretion, we don't want to start a panic.
- Looma of the Red Wind has engaged in talks with the Enforcers so she can have some sort of auxiliary role and the Enforcers, in turn, can help watch over her terrain. Sergei's getting personally involved with this to try and mediate Looma's demands, so... more news will follow.
- Junko's personal emotion tracker has been showing some signs of fear that seem unrelated to the whole Sosyne thing. Probably best to try and keep a close eye on her, just in case.
- ORCA TRIAL!!! -I mean. This isn't IC knowledge yet, just an OOC heads up: At some point soon there might be a trial happening related to Sosyne. This may or may not also involve cross-examining an animal, and may or may not involve some innocent teen being framed. So basically, an every day trial for Ace Attorney characters. Details are still being hashed out, a separate OOC post may follow.
Do you have anything else to add? Just let us know!

Which division are they joining? Emotional Damage Control and she can also handle negotiation and investigation as well.
Do they have any relevant experience? She's spent two thousand years protecting the world from a madman who shall remain nameless. She's good at putting people at ease. She also is very knowledgeable about emotions and technology.
Do they have any special abilities? Like Kor, she can Spiria Link, but she doesn't need a Soma like he does. She can teleport, heal and is really good with barriers and other support types of magic. She would also mention that she has no skills at combat besides the fact that she can remain calm when an attack like the one last month happens.

Character name: Akira
Which division are they joining? Negotiation
Do they have any relevant experience? The actual explanation of this would be A Bit Of A Production but tl;dr things back home were hard!! Very violent!! And he isn't a big fan of violence and isn't very good at it anyways. He led and looked after a bunch of people who felt the same way he did, so he's good at cutting deals and talking down fights to protect people. And after that disaster with Sosyne, the upheaval in Verens reminds him a lot of things that happened when he was a kid, so while he's here he wants to do his part to keep life good for people!!!
Do they have any special abilities? He would say he's useless at fighting (and it would be true).
