[This is fine. This is cool. She can do this. Use emotions to make cool shit happen? She has tons of emotions! She can nail this!
It starts small. Her cheerfulness and excitement at doing this in the first place catches on quickly; the sunlight seems a bit warmer, the breeze is gently blowing. Nearby, a couple flowers burst into bloom and Petunia claps her hand in excitement.
Just think of all the cool things she could do! And if it worked with positive emotions, that meant negative ones probably did something too, right?
...Oh. Oh no.
Okay but what if it all goes horribly wrong. Petunia twists her fingers into her skirt and shifts her weight uneasily, mind racing with terrible possibilities. What if she does so poorly it kills a butterfly? What if she causes an earthquake!? Okay no, stop this is bad she has to be better than this--
But the more she tries to not think about it the more she does think about it until she's flailing her hands desperately like some attempt to physically control her panic.]
Ah, oh no, oh no-- [Somewhere a bird rustles a tree and Petunia screams in panic. In response, a rose bush explodes.
The screaming doesn't stop and has now been accompanied by Petunia running around as she paces, yelling at herself:] Calm down! Clam down calmdowncalmdown--!!
[Nailed it.]
[Prompt B ]
[Sheep wrangling! She can handle this. She just needs to keep an eye out for a glowing sheep, nothing out of the ordinary here.
But after like 3 hours of no luck, Petunia's starting to get disheartened. So she approaches the nearest person on the street and gives a big sheepish (no pun intended??) grin]
Uh, excuse me? Have you seen a-- [Wait. What if this person doesn't have sheep where they're from!? Petunia makes a peculiar face and then starts making some strange hand movements to approximate sizes] It's a... It's an animal! With wool-- It's fuzzy! And it glows. They don't normally glow, but this one does. Maybe they all do here? I'm looking for it.
[Petunia pauses for a long moment, stuck in a pose where she's sort of half-bent with her arms still spread as if to indicate a sheep. Somehow. She straightens abruptly and stares with a blank expression.] ...It goes 'baa.'
[Prompt F.]
I'm going to die here.
[Cheerful. Petunia sits in the building, shaking her head slowly as she watches the blizzard apocalypse happening outside the windows-- not that she can see much, it's pretty much a whiteout.]
I didn't even live a full life! This isn't even fair! I didn't ask to come here, and I am here and now I'm going to die because of snow! I've never even seen snow! Do you think it snows in Australia!? Because it doesn't! [Petunia, who are you even talking to--] But I know it's supposed to be gentle and fluffy and you make snow angels and stuff like that!
[Her passionate ranting keeps building until she jumps to her feet, stomping towards the door. All thoughts of dying are gone now, replaced with a righteous indignation. She's from Australia, she's never seen snow in her life and this is what she gets when she does?!] That's it! I'm not letting this stupid snow ruin a new memory for me! I'm going to make a snowman and nothing is stopping me--!
