There was no mistaking her for someone he must have known before he was the Winter Soldier after being addressed that way. The unsure glance at her hand spoke of a man who was no longer any good with people, but he moved to take it with his own gloved hand a moment later, eyes returning to her face to try and see if he could recall her.

"Carter," he repeated, thinking it sounded vaguely familiar. "We worked together in the war?"

It seemed likely she would know Steve, then--he would have to contact him and ask later. Maybe they were on good terms, maybe he'd like to catch up with her or something like that?
