"I've arrived five days ago. Whether you would consider me 'new' or not, I couldn't say."
Well, at least she apologized for what, according to Fenris, would be her own rudeness. Usually, he'd say it was rare for a human to speak like that to an elven stranger - so familiarly, and without any disgusting sense of superiority, that is - but he's already realized that people came (no, were taken) to this island from all sort of lands. So he tried not to judge their customs as long as they left him alone.
"When have you arrived?"
After all, as they were already talking, he could just as well use this opportunity to learn something. He already tried asking around. He's even read five whole pages of some geographical and historical book in the library - wasted effort, and wasted almost one whole hour of his time, as he's learned of no way back to Thedas. Reading of things that made no sense to him and were irrelevant - that wasn't what he's learned to read for, in these last few years.
[ooc: Well, Fenris' markings are infused with lyrium, which is a mineral(or actually organic substance? there's speculation that lyrium, on the whole, is something alive, since as it can suffer blight as only the living things can? something like that) that can augment magic, and that can also help with magic resistance. And by the way, Spirits, when presented with a material piece of lyrium (as opposed to just its reflection in dream world) can hear a beautiful song coming from lyrium). That's all I remember of lyrium from the game, but I haven't actually read whole codex entries on it yet, so I'll put a link to wiki here and read the wiki later just in case. But, yeah, I think she wouldn't feel much of anything from his tattoos unless he actively uses their abilities or she touches them, unless she's very, very, very spiritually sensitive.]
