And Ion internally sobs forever. Probably better that Xion didn't take her hand since Ion could potentially trip at any moment. Fortunately it doesn't take long for Ion to lead her to her apartment. It's small but on the cozy side despite a few moving boxes full of stuff that's been packed up. Also there's at least ten flower vases around the room, which may seem pretty odd.

Meanwhile Ion busies herself rather quickly with hanging up her jacket and putting on some water to boil. She at least talks as she goes, "This world is pretty strange. It likes to grab people from whenever, doing whatever, and brings them here. You could say that, back where you came from, time has stopped. So time moves forward here, but there's nothing happening while you're away from your world." At least that's the understanding she's picked up from other people who left and returned.
