This is my amulet. The crystal was clear when I first got here, but as I filled the amulet with more emotion drops, it started turning gold to show I'm aligned with Thras, for bravery and fear. Yours'll start changing colors too eventually.
So the Arehtei are in charge of different sets of emotions, but they're also in charge of the world's well-being, a lot like the crystal in the observatory. The catch is that THEIR well-being depends on the emotions they get from us. Each Arehtei is in charge of a positive and a negative emotion, and they need both in order to stay balanced. If they get too much of one or the other, it can make them sick or even go crazy.
