She doesn't even raise the shovel to strike the pumpkin's vines until she's right up on it, and she brings the shovel's blade down as hard as she can to sever one of the vines. Of course, the shovel sticks in the ground a little, so she has to give it a bit of a tug to pull it out. The force of the pull has her stumbling back a bit. ]
That's one vine...it seems there are a lot more. [ Not that she's at all bothered, as she's swinging the shovel down again the very next second. ]
