[ Jewels are the Tohsaka family's forte when it comes to magic. Of course, those same jewels are also their financial downfall. They've been a bit hard to come by here, and Rin's done her best not to appear too irritable without any potential containers for her magic. She greatly dislikes being unprepared, to put it simply.
That goes double for her lack of foresight into the weather. But, to be fair, who expects it to literally rain diamonds out of nowhere! There wasn't a cloud in the sky a minute ago! Yet she sure is getting something heavy dropped on her head all of a sudden. ]
Yow! Hey! [ She stops as she spots what exactly hit her on the head. A couple somethings, rather. Several somethings! She knows her gems, so she knows diamonds when she sees them. For a moment, her eyes gleam in the same kind of way as those clear crystals do when they catch the light. ] Well, how lucky for me, huh?
[ Ever eager to keep up the facade of a perfectly respectable girl around other people, Rin takes to gathering the diamonds as quickly as she can without looking overly desperate for them. That said, she's still stuffing them into her coat pockets as fast as she can. She even manages to keep a straight face when other people come closer to get some of their own! A straight face...but a frightening one, as if daring them to step closer to her lucky find.
Her hand brushes against someone else's as she bends down to pick up another diamond, and all at once she's torn between a surprisingly violent impulse and her need to stay pleasant on the surface. The latter wins out, and she gives a smile that says "Put that thing back where it came from or so help me" but without any comic overtones. ]
Oh...I'm afraid that one's mine. Could you let go?
