It wasn't as though any of them had signed up to be brought to the conflict between Chaos and Cosmos, to be torn from their worlds and thrust into a battle that they seemed destined to lose over and over again. At least... that was how it seemed for his comrades considering he has no recollection of anything prior to waking in the conflict.

Chaos killed Cosmos... [ The words are... difficult for him to say and his lips fall into that of a frown as he turns his head away from Lightning. ] ...it's the last thing I remember before waking here. I couldn't... save her and darkness began to fall over us all.
