[At some point -- perhaps fairly quickly, given how difficult to miss this guy is -- Jefferson will find that he has company. A swordsman who looks for all the world like a JRPG grew ill and coughed him up has fallen into step beside him, all purple streaks and loud tunic and literal cheerful sparkling. Given that he turns around when Jefferson does, repeatedly, it's painfully obvious that he's sticking close on purpose.
