TEST DRIVE: FEBRUARY

— TEST DRIVE: FEBRUARY—

Welcome to [community profile] empatheias' test drive meme. This test drive is to help interested players test their characters in the game's environment. We've included a few prompts that incorporate specific elements of the game, though you'll find all of them have a lot of leeway for players to get as creative as necessary. Before diving in, here are a few things we'd like to remind everyone about the game in general:

  • Date reminders. Reserves open Wednesday, January 25 and Applications (Canon | OC) open Wednesday, January 1st.
  • OC Reminder! Just a quick reminder that original characters are allowed. Those interested can also use the test drive. OCs do not need to be reserved.
  • Emotions are key! Empatheias' premise focuses on how anyone's emotions can affect their environment, be it big or small. While not every emotion will cause a reaction, significant ones definitely will. How much effect a character will have will ultimately be up to you, the player. Also, while we're giving a lot of leeway for the test drive, keep in mind that there will be some limits in the actual game.
  • Everyone has an amulet. All characters have a unique amulet that is specialized for them. It will contain all of their emotion drops and it serves as the network device. Remember, communication is telepathic. Otherwise, it works basically the same.
  • Assume the character is already in the game. Because "OMG WHERE AM I IS THIS REAL LIFE" threads aren't going to be very helpful in this test drive! Plus those are going to happen in-game, anyway. So to make things easier, just assume that they've been around at least a week or so. Still learning the ropes, but not a complete "first day" experience.
  • First or third person allowed. Your threads can be in either first or third, but we'd advise being flexible about it. Remember, these threads can also be used in your application for samples! Reminder: We only require one sample and it can be done in either format. We have also made a change to our sample requirements, so look over the Applications page!

Now with that out of the way, here are some prompts you guys can work from!

PROMPTS

• Prompt A: How about giving the emotions a try?

• Prompt B: Refer to the Task Board and choose a task your character may be interested in taking up. For this prompt, you could have your character ask for help, already be in the middle of the job, or react to it in some way. Perhaps they were an unfortunate victim or want to create a job countering an existing one. You could even have a prompt making a job request. Creating jobs for the purpose of the test drive is absolutely doable.

• Prompt C: How about giving the amulets a go? Start a telepathic conversation and see how it works. Remember, the amulets are sending out the owner's thoughts so might want to be careful about how the stream of consciousness goes...

• Prompt D: Over two years ago, the ill fated Red String of Fate toy made its debut. At the time it seemed like a solid idea, but as it turned out… it didn’t exactly work as advertised. People found themselves tied together with entirely incompatible people instead of the proclaimed “emotionally compatible” and to top it off, personal, influential and private telepathic communication came out drenched in sap and overly lovey-dovey overtones. It was, without a doubt, one of the company’s least successful product launches ever. And you would think that they would have learned. However, they decided to try again, and… well. It wasn’t exactly all that well thought out the second time around. But third time’s the charm, right? Wrong. Even if this time, it’s in the form of rings that will draw two people together in a “matched pair” rather than a string.

  1. There’s not really anything wrong with believing in true love, but trying to formulate a product that can detect someone’s ideal mate is innately flawed. Which only means that no matter how many times the product is adjusted, it’s just not going to work. Those who wind up with the product shoved onto their fingers (by a sales rep or through actually purchasing the product) will find themselves, once again, pulled by an unseen force to the nearest person they are “compatible with”. Same height, same hair color, whatever. It’s not exactly discriminatory. …Unfortunately as poor a match as they may be, the two cannot be separated until they share a meaningful embrace. So settle in, you might be together for a while.

  2. In certain pairs, normal conversation is often unintentionally made amorous, simply from inflection in voice, or perhaps a heightened affectionate emotion. Or, on the flip side, anger and aggression is increased ten fold, but it’s kind of 50-50 as to what effect will take place, all dependant on which hand they wear the ring. Left, romance, Right? Anger.

• Prompt E: The inexplicably cavernous sewers of Verens are no place for a sane individual, but here you are anyway—dropped there by some horrible emotional shift that made an entire section of street vanish and then reappear above your heads as if nothing had happened. You and the poor fool you’ve been dumped down here with need to find your way to the access tunnels and climb out, or perhaps go the other way and swim out through the Lake Niras outflow. Or just smash your way out, if you’re feeling destructive. But your own emotions will work against you, as you struggle against the terrible scent, the darkness, and the entirely-justified questioning of why your life has taken this horrible turn.

  1. There’s something odd about the way the water and sewage is sloshing around your ankles, almost as if it’s rising. But wait, that can’t possibly be a pair of eyes you see under the oil slick surface… could it? You’ve heard rumors about all sorts of beasties down here but surely your mind is just playing tricks on you.

  2. Remember that part about emotions turning against you? Maybe you’ve been trapped down here way too long with someone who’s just not living up to your expectations, or you’ve got something else on your minds—but the smell around you certainly seems to be growing thicker, the scent growing harder and harder to ignore. The water and grossness at your feet also seems to be growing thicker almost as though it’s curing like cement. The cause? Negative emotions. But are they yours or the person you’re stuck here with? Perhaps you should work through those post haste…

  3. Escape! You’ve made it out, but not without a great amount of effort on both you and your partner’s parts. Did you manage to find a way out through the access tunnels? Or perhaps you really did travel through all that much to the Lake Niras outflow… whatever it is, You’re certainly stinky, and possibly tired and cranky too.

• Prompt F: Some bandits went and stole another airship, only this time the Enforcers are prepared with a few of their own. Join in for some intense air battles. Just don't make the ship explode—they'd like it back in one piece please. Unless you're actually on the bandit team, in which case you probably want to blow up the Enforcer ship.

  1. What's an airship fight without some on deck action? Either the bandits are swinging over to the ship you're on, or maybe you're swinging over there. Whatever the case, it's a full on brawl. Just watch out—those bandits are well-armed with some interesting firearms and weapons. If hit, one of the following emotions will start to take over your senses: unquestionable rage, debilitating fear and panic, and sleepiness. Needless to say, these effects will hinder one's ability to fight.

  2. Can you fly or are you okay with climbing up the full height of your airship? Then grab a few sleep and apathy grenades and throw them at the bandits. Just be careful not to accidentally hit your allies. Otherwise they will be the ones feeling sleepy and want to give up. Also watch out for flying nets and bullets. Those bandits will definitely try to bring you down.

  3. While the enforcers are trying to maintain the integrity of the stolen ship, the bandits feel no such need to hold back and are freely unloading their weapons onto the Enforcer's ships, forcing them to defend themselves. Other than decapacitating the bandit behind the weapon, it's also possible to overload it with intense emotions. Explode it with rage or clog it with happy, loving flowers.

• Prompt G: Make your own! It could include bubblegum and/or toadstools.

For your threads, put the Character Name and the Canon in the subject line to help readily identify them. You're also welcome to use more than one prompt for respondents to choose from. If you have any questions or want to brush up on the game information, refer to the Game Information entry. Otherwise, tag around and have fun!

[There was quiet for a moment but his mind is still a whirl. The emotions were still too fresh, too raw. He hadn't had time to mourn Galen's death, his own death, his failure. Nausea welled up, he hadn't had time to process anything and so now it was hitting him hard.]

Is this some sort of afterlife then? [It wasn't possible that to survive the Death Star.]

Meditate? Is this connected to... [He didn't know much about the Force despite his hours spent with kyber crystals, taking the crystals out of Jedi lightsabers to be used in research. It was said the crystals reacted to the Force but they had been silent and cold to him.] ..mystical Force- life energy - phenomenon?

[For a moment Poe thought that the other had managed to cut the link. But then he noticed that Krennic was still around. The pilot waited for him to speak and when the question of the afterlife came about. It pulled his stomach a little. This wasn't the first person to ask such a question. Poe knew it wasn't an afterlife but...]

This place, it isn't the afterlife. You can treat it as such. But you can continue on living. A relatively normal life here. The emotions and the planet is very strange and odd. After a while of just living you can make your own future.

[Yeah, it probably sounds super upbeat and positive. Poe could only provide what he could about looking towards the future and the good in such a dark place. There's a small laugh.]

It's nothing like the Force, a bit similar if anything. Although, you can think it as that if it helps. It's helped me figure out some of the mechanics. I keep a log of what each emotion does too.

[He does that in order to test them out later in a safer place. Because things can get messy when you don't know what it can really do. When there's more than one person with the same emotion it can get even more troublesome.]

[He has to admit, the telepathy angle does add another layer of complication to things. It's one thing to look someone in the eye and plaster a smile onto your face before you speak--he's had so much practice with it recently that it has almost become automatic--but it's quite another thing to keep all your thoughts in line. The vigilance required to prevent whatever might lay under the surface from leaking out for all to see seems...daunting.

Still, he'll have to try, won't he? It would be silly not to take advantage of this strange magic--is it magic? It's not like any he is aware of--if it means finding his friends.

His group. Not his friends, his group. He really must be more careful with that.

He takes a breath, thinks happy thoughts--Sakura's smile, the way Kuro's face goes red when he shouts, the little things that keep him sane--and tries.]

Say there, none of you fine people have seen a couple of children and a tall, dark, brooding man walking around here recently, have you? The tall one answers to Kuro-pii, among other things...

E-2

[Oh no.

No.

He really should have seen this coming. He hasn't been here long at all but it was only a matter of time before he caused something really terrible to happen. Wandering these streets, introducing himself to people, being kind and generous and always, always smiling--it's the same as he's always done. But it doesn't work here. Because this place, this awful little world, it knows.

And now here he is. Here they are, he supposes, remembering that there had been someone standing beside him when the ground had opened up and deposited them in this...sewer. That has to be what it is, a sewer. It's wet and unpleasant in all the ways one would expect, and they seem to be stuck down here with no means of escape, and it is all his fault. It has to be.

He's been trying so, so hard. But it doesn't matter. Of course it doesn't.

He has observed enough of this place to have some ideas how this works. He knows the increasingly foul smell and the weight gathering at his feet, pining him down, is likely his own doing. He has to calm down. He has to stop thinking...anything. Just not think. Slowly, the weight on his feet hindering his movements some, he turns to the person who he has trapped here, yet another victim of his failures, and smiles as brightly as he can manage.]

Well, it appears that have an apology to make for all of this.

[It may not be an afterlife but he knew he had died. It had been quick, though not painless thanks to the blaster wound.

He wasn't sure what kind of future he wanted here. Galen wasn't here and everything he had worked so hard for and accomplished was gone.]

A second chance then. How fortunate for me. [But he doesn't sound excited, it's something to think about carefully.

The log seemed like a practical idea and it would give him a starting point of something to work on. He was still an engineer and researcher at heart, creating and understanding the world around him was what he did.]

Tracking the results of emotion seems prudent. I would be interested to see your log.

[Another pause then a wary observation as he listened to Poe's tone.]

You know the Force.

[Her eyes narrow at Ahsoka's continued anger and refusal to listen, the air surrounding them growing hotter and drier as she continues. They're on a mission, and Leia wanted to see this through, without loss of life or limb on either side.]

Then prove yourself capable and rein yourself in, and they won't have to try.

[Because honestly, she's sure Ahsoka is right, knowing how Force-users are, and how many of the others here couldn't stand up to that. But that's not the point.]

We're here to defend ships, not kill pirates. Is this honestly the best way to do that?

[ This is disgusting, and Noctis finds himself gagging a little as he struggles to his feet amid the putrid muck, cursing a little as the street closes itself back up overhead, preventing any chance of getting out the way they came. It smells as bad as a morbol, and he can only hope that this wold doesn't have those here too, especially given that someone else got caught in the collapse, too.

He grimaces, trying to wipe his hands off on whatever bit of his shirt is still dry as he looks over at his fellow victim -- who surprises him by not only smiling in a way far too bright for their surroundings but also apologizing. Noct pauses, blinking at him. He's been here long enough to know that weird things like this are usually the result of someone's emotions gone haywire, but the smile throws him a bit - a distraction from his own irritation.]

Must've been something bad, if you made a whole street collapse.

[She glances ahead in the direction the water seems to be moving, but as expected, it's too dark to see much in that direction. The only real sign of how far back the tunnel continues is the scattered light from the grates on the street high above, but even those grow dimmer and harder to see the further back it goes.

On one hand, he has a point, even if she'd hate to actually admit it. She's not too pleased about the prospect of having to swim through this filth, and would much rather get out of here sooner rather than later. But on the other hand, with the sewers as large as they are, there was bound to be some sort of exit along the direction the water was flowing, for the sake of the workers that had to come down here at some point.]

I'd think the closer to the outflow we are, the more likely there are to be access points we can use. Or even some sort of processing facility to clean this sludge before it's cycled out of here. Unless you saw any signs of entry in the direction you came from?

[He's a bit thrown by that. It's certainly forthright. But then, he has trapped this poor man in a horrid place with no warning, who wouldn't be a little miffed? His response is automatic, practiced. He laughs, lifting an arm to the back of his head and looking appropriately embarrassed.]

I suppose I wouldn't have any idea what I did, to be honest. I only just got here recently, and I haven't quite figured out what's going on here.

[It's not true, in the strictest sense of the word, but he's really not prepared to have a conversation about his emotions while standing in a pool of...well.]

But whatever I did, we are here now, aren't we? I don't suppose you happen to know a way out of this place.

[Luckily for Barriss, Yoda sense her presence almost as soon as she'd come to the city. The last time he'd seen her, was when Anakin had brought her to confess to the bombing of the Jedi Temple, so many years ago. Though he'd been disappointed in her actions then, time had ultimately proved her right. Though Yoda couldn't sense any of that conviction in the young Padawan yet, which told him that she had yet to betray the Order by her own reckoning. Sensing her emotional distress, Yoda seeks her out, using the joy he felt at seeing her again start to warm the air around her.]

Still you must be, Padawan. Calm your mind, for it is your emotions that cause the air to cool around you.

[Yoda closes his eyes, trying to focus his emotions such that he can melt the ice that's begun to form around Barriss's feet, and to warm the air enough for her to get her breath back.]
thatgoodnight: (are there veggies in that)

[personal profile] thatgoodnight 2017-01-29 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[Get used to it, Fai. Conversations about emotions happen in even weirder places here.

The laughter is still a bit weird if the street falling was this guy's fault, but some people express things different ways so it's not really worth thinking about too hard. Noct just shrugs and squints into the gloom of the tunnels. Luckily there is at least some light filtered down from street grates here and there, but it isn't much, and it's hard to tell if there are any ladders or anything to get back up.]

I think even people who've been here a while are still figuring it out, but feelings do weird things to things around you here. [A super helpful not vague at all description!] Like freeze things or collapse streets, I guess. And no, I don't...

[He's quiet for a moment, still looking down the tunnel one way and then the other. He's definitely grumpy about being here (which probably isn't helping the cloying stench of the place), but he's trying to be practical.]

You wouldn't happen to have a light, would you?
chosemyownfate: (Uh what?)

[personal profile] chosemyownfate 2017-01-29 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
That's my saint cloth. ...I don't know why it's covered in darkness like that. [He squints at the box, unease starting to grow inside his chest. He has always trusted his cloth. It protected him even when he turned against its purpose. To see it like this makes him feel sick.]

...what happened to the street before? I've never seen anything like that. [He casts his gaze up at the ceiling just as something passes just out of the corner of his eye. His blood runs cold. Koga whips around to see whatever it had been. Hoping what he thought he'd glimpsed was wrong.] H-hey did you see anything?
vergeofgreatness: (Default)

[personal profile] vergeofgreatness 2017-01-29 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps but we are in near dark. We'll have to be cautious since there is a good chance we wouldn't be able to see a sudden drop off until it's too late.

[He pointed out, wishing he had something useful as a source of light than just bits here and there from above them. It would have to be enough. ]

Do you have anything with you, by any chance? [He asked as he started walking in the direction the water was going. He wasn't going to argue with her on which direction to go, they could always turn around if needed. He would rather get out of here.

He peered up as they went, trying to pick out any differences in the wall or ceiling that he could pick out to see if there was a pattern or any indication of where an exit may be. They had to move slowly, though, the last thing he wanted was to end up tripping into a drainage pool.]

[Most people would try to at least make some kind of life for themselves. But that would be up to the other man to decide what path he choses. Poe decided to keep living in whatever peace this happened to be. He would rather keep himself happy, keep helping those in need as well as maybe teach a bit about the dunamis. If he wasn't quite flying anything around here, he can use his other skills. He's already used his more mechanical skills.]

If you have to look at it in that way, yes. It might not be exactly what you wanted but you are alive here.

[He hasn't let anyone else seen his log. Because he does indeed keep a log, but that log happens to be in the same notepad that has some other... personal things. Which was silly because he was keeping separate logs for sometime. He happened to slip and wrote things a few pages after his emotion tracking.]

Sure, I don't mind sharing the log with you.

[There's a small chuckle.]

I know about the Force. [He's going to leave out that he grew up around a Jedi Tree on a ranch. Because not too many people know about that either.] There's plenty of Jedi around here. They would know more about it. I've only heard stories.

[Barriss was most certainly not the Jedi Knight who'd bombed the temple. At least, not yet. She'd not yet completed her trial, and she's definitely physically younger. That isn't to say she's any less at ease around Yoda, her back straightening, eyes widening as she hears that familiar voice and feels that enormous bundle of Light that she knows to be him.

Holding still, she watches whatever he's doing, feeling the air warming around her...]

Master Yoda...?

[There are a few questions on the tip of her tongue. The first is of course 'where are we' and the second 'why are you here' but what she actually manages to say:]

...You've aged. Is something the matter?

[He did used to seem a little younger, and there was definitely a change in him. More muppet and less CGI]
backpackjedi: (Exile)

[Yoda keeps focusing on warming the air around them, amused at Barriss's candor. He giggles.]

Many years has it been since I saw you last, Barriss. In this place, the city of Verens, time as we know it matters little. Twenty years has it been for me, but mere moments for some.

[Yoda kneels, coaxing apart the ice with the Force even as it begins to melt further.]

Many more question you have, but more suitable garments for you we should acquire first, hmm?

I appreciate it.

[Jedi? This could pose an interesting dilemma. He had spent a few nights removing kyber crystals from lightsabers and overseeing extraction from locations taken from the Jedi archives.

But perhaps he could learn more about the crystals from them. Galen could extract some power but neither he or Krennic were Force-sensitive, there was no doubt many more secrets the crystals were holding.

He tried to keep his thoughts and mental tone as neutral as possible.]

[He just...says that like it's nothing, and honestly if it'd been anyone but Yoda she'd probably not believe them. But she remembered her early days in the Jedi Temple, learning the basics from the ancient mystic, and she'd learned better than to doubt him.]

Clothes. Yes. Yes that would be good.

[Many years sounds really ominous. Really, really ominous.]

I was just changing from my surgical scrubs when I got here. I wish I still had them on.

[They'd be a lot warmer. A whole lot warmer.]

[ He doesn't like it, the constant chatter - other voices in his head. They don't belong there, his own thoughts take up enough room (usually a constant murmur, not very discernible), and Bodhi can't help recalling the last time he wasn't alone in his own head. Bor Gullet, in the caves - tentacles slithering out of the darkness and into his memories.

It's not the same, and he knows it but it doesn't make it any easier or any more welcome.

The voice is quick, quiet - muttering something before he asks again, more clearly: ]

How do I turn it off?

d

What? No, no I'm not interested. Thank you, no - [ The man is all smiles as he ignores the pilot's dismissals to grab his hand and slip something over his fingers before giving him a pat on the shoulder and moving onto the next unfortunate soul.

Bodhi sighs. Whatever it is, it doesn't seem to want to come off. And try to yank it off, he does. And like it has a mind of it's own, Bodhi is moving through the crowd (and he can't seem to stop) until he's standing right beside someone.

What? He holds up his hand. ]

Sorry. Um. Could you maybe give me a hand? It's stuck, or something.

e

[ Sewers. It had to be sewers that opened up and swallowed him, dropping him into the water. Bodhi comes up, sputtering. After that it's trying to find his way out, navigating the tunnels that seem to stretch - and he has to admit that he's completely lost. ]

It had to be a sewer.

[ Lost, and as he stares down at the murky water he swears that something below the surface stares back up at him. He scrambles, but the feeling of eyes on him, boring into him never leaves him alone after that, and he feels even more lost than before. Yet the only sound is the water splashing around his feet and his harsh breathing in his ears.

He'd been brought here, only to die in a sewer. Assuming that this is all real. Maybe he's still back in the ship with that grenade, waiting for it to detonate. Maybe. When he hears the splashing footsteps, Bodhi feels frozen to the spot. It's not like he can make a break for it without being noticed at this point. ]

Where would you like to meet up? I can meet up at any time as well.

[Poe wouldn't know anything more about being Force-sensitive. He was just ordinary. Although, he was trying to ask questions about meditation. That was a skill he was trying to get a better handle on. Be better about sitting on his hands for the moment. It wouldn't be forever.]

I hadn't met one personally either until coming here. I met something not Jedi. [A man in a mask too. That was a subject he would rather avoid and he was going to focus on other things now.] There's a lot of names to list now. I've at least told you mine, you can share yours. I am free now and can meet you anywhere.

[Poe's answer was intriguing and there was a long pause on his end.] Something not Jedi?

[Most likely a reference to Vader. He rubbed his throat, remembering that encounter. He had gotten what he wanted, though.]

I don't mind a list. [He didn't expect any recognition, his name was associated with secret Republic and Imperial research or his public projects as an architect.] Of course, it's only fair. My name is Krennic.

Soundwave | Transformers Prime

PROMPT A

[Emotions.

Not... really a thing Soundwave did. Even if it might have been a rumor that the mute third in command had long ago purged his emotions from his files to make room for more data, it was safe to say that Soundwave and 'emotional' didn't fit in the same sentence together.

Rather, where ever the annoyed and displaced Communications Chief wandered, life tended to slip away and hide until he'd passed, colors draining, flowers wilting, sound deadening.

He'd noticed it of course. It wasn't doing much to improve his dulled and muted annoyance, and every so often just enough of it would flare up and cause the temperature to spike. Just for a moment or two.

Before the moment passed and everything returned to what was, apparently, going to be normal for Soundwave.

He's so thrilled.

He's so... so thrilled.
]

PROMPT F

[What does one do when one can fly and is now approximately about a fraction the size of an airship?

And it's an aerial fight?

With the right kind of persuasion, you join it, of course. Whatever the reason Soundwave had been given that made entering this battle good enough for him, the soundless, near impossible to spot drone plane had been harrying the stolen ship for a while, easily evading nets and bullets.

Every time the Reaper made a pass over the ship most of the bandits were forced to scuttle for safety as hatches were opened to subspaces filled with sleep grenades, or worse, opened to allow long and deft tentacles to zip down and casually try to toss a few bandits overboard.

[Leia follows, careful to keep some distance between them, but not enough that it seems suspicious. As they walk, the water continues to feel heavy and thick, thanks to Leia's continued irritation with both the situation and the fact that she's stuck down here with some sort of Imperial officer.

At his question, she hesitates, not sure whether she wants to answer or not. Because it's true, she doesn't have a blaster with her. She never had one when she arrived, and the weapons here weren't close enough to those she's familiar with for her comfort. But it doesn't take long for Leia to make up her mind, deciding that both the darkness around them and the fact that Krennic will no doubt learn the truth sooner or later were reason enough to reach for the bronze-colored weapon hanging at her hip, underneath her coat.]

I have this.

[She powers the lightsaber on, the yellow blade illuminating the area around them, making their immediate surroundings easier to see at the expense of whatever is further down the tunnel.]

[A lightsaber. The hilt was unlike those he had taken apart which only made him more curious. He knew a Jedi had ever cause to be wary of an Imperial officer, Order 66 had been brutal and swift. But she hadn't struck out yet so he wouldn't be concerned for now.]

That will come in handy. [He kept his tone even before he turned to keep going down the tunnel. The light from the blade helped as the water thickened and made taking steps difficult. He was determined to get out of here, covering his mouth with one hand as he walked.

He held out a hand, coming to a stop suddenly as he started to pick out the sound of rushing water. There seemed to be a ledge emerging to one side however, it looked as if it may have been designed for easy access for workers. He gestured with the blaster to show Leia before heading towards it.]

This may be the way out we were looking for.

You didn't take anything from them, did you?

[Even if nothing evidently cursed jumps out at him on the other, it's best to check anyway. He'd had an exchange, and those people don't usually take no for an answer. Something could very well be waiting to rear its ugly head.

He doesn't want to bother the Marshal with his problems, but at the same time he feels he should answer because despite being besties with the prince, Cor is still technically speaking his superior.]

Well, Aranea and I kinda picked a fight with a merchant a few weeks ago. [Yes, the Niff, though the merchant 100% deserved it. Still, he holds his hands up to absolve blame.] Got ugly, but it was all words! Hands to myself.

[All words on his end anyway, not on hers. Regardless, those people were mad. He's not welcome there anymore, but whatever. He wouldn't have gone back anyway.

There are other instances where he'd angered folks by asking too many questions and not listening properly to the answers, and the times he'd taken unsolicited pictures of people that didn't appreciate it. Poor Prompto: too cute, too easy to yell at.]
