What he hadn't expected to hear when walking by one of the buildings was the sound of glass shattering from inside, causing him to hesitate before heading in.
Inside, it was easy to find the source.
Mainly in part due to the ice-coated room with fissures within them, shattered windows and the lone figure knelt in the middle of it. One that didn't look like he was doing too great, but seeing as the room looked like it could possibly collapse - despite it's frozen-over state - and he really willing to sit by in a situation like this. Remaining in Verens had really instated the better side of him the longer he'd been here, so that was likely why he decided on a last-second whim that getting that guy out of that room was for the best, and quick.
With moves almost hard to discern by sight alone, he moved in to where he could grab one of Zero's wrists, a quick murmur of an apology following that as he practically pulled the other male's arm around his shoulder before rising to his feet and bolting out of the room while mostly carrying Zero's weight. Once they were out of the building, he finally turned his attention to the other with a quiet expression on his face. ]
