Keith | Voltron: Legendary Defenders

A.

[He had a fiery temper, they always said. Ha ha, really funny. Somehow he doesn't see how this weird planet, or world, had any right to poke fun at his expense by making his emotions into concentrated balls of fiery annoyance.]

[While that may have seemed cool at first, it was starting to become a problem. Which is why he's currently trying to apologize for accidentally igniting this one poor native's hanging plant after someone rolled their bicycle over his foot. It was a quick burst of anger but it was enough to do in the madam's petunias.]

Look, I'm sorry. I can try to replace them?

B.

[Well, living off the locals wasn't going to be forever, and honestly, Keith really didn't care to depend on strangers if he could avoid it. He hadn't the foggiest idea of where to start with looking for an actual job. It was kind of a jarring shift to go from "Defender of the Universe" to ...tavern dish washer or something equally mundane like that.]

[Ask him to pilot a robotic lion through space? Sure he's all over it. Ask him to work customer service? ...Eeeeh.]

[But then the task board caught his attention. All right, odd jobs he could do. It wasn't like he hadn't done stuff like that for money when he lived out in the desert. You couldn't be can goods with your good looks, after all. His eyes skim the listings, passing over ones that didn't seem interesting or logical. He came across one that stood out. Street fights, huh?]

[So, that's exactly where he was. Standing on his end of the "ring". Sweaty and bruised he puts his fists up and tightens his stance. One down, one chunk of pay, all he had to do was keep going. He was tense and looked calm, but the air around him was warm. Could intensity be an emotion? If so he's radiating it.]

[Care to step into the ring? He's kind of just a punk kid, but his last opponent probably lost his match from underestimating him.]

D.

[Okay, so he'd been told not to outright attack the scarecrows. They were just doing their job really and the farmers really couldn't spend time or money investing in new ones later when their crops were failing. They needed to be calmed]

[Right. He could do this. What would Shiro do in this situation, he's the only one of them with any sort of calm.]

[He approaches carefully to the stomping scarecrow with the ...not so nice pitchfork with his hands up in a placating gesture. He even tries to smile.]

Hey um, buddy. You should calm down or ...something.

[That sounded lame even to him. Ugh, he's not cut out for this. Though the scarecrow does seem to relent a little. Was it working? He moves a little closer.]

See, we're just trying to heaauUU-- Hey!

[Keith just barely dodges getting forked like a cooked casserole. He leaps back and then pulls out his bayard with a growl.]

Okay, then we try this your way!

[Someone should probably step in.]
