[As Rule Three is laid out, Dezel drops his gaze back to the table, unable to meet that look Rose is leveling at him. The frustration and annoyance that had been building toward anger suddenly depart, draining out of him rapidly to leave him with guilt, regret and a hollow ache in his chest. Though he's only gotten through part of his meal, he's not sure he wants any more of it now, his appetite having also fled in a hurry. Nodding a little once Rose is done speaking, he lays his fork down alongside his plate and tries to swallow down the tight feeling that's started to creep into into his throat.]
...yeah. Alright.
[He'd known this would come up sooner or later. Everything he'd gone through with Rose in Verens before to get things settled - the arguments, the time spent apart to cool off after - some of that is going to have to happen again. Only this time, Dezel is about out of energy to fight. His reasons be damned, he knows he was always in the wrong.]
[When Dezel does look up at Rose again, gaze pausing for just a brief moment on the cracks in her glass, he appears about as tired as he's suddenly come to feel. When he speaks, his tone is flat, his volume low.]
