There were noises on plurk for one of these and since we've gone a couple app cycles it seems as good a time as any.

Yep! Since Minato try to keep his emotions subdued due to...childhood stuff and personal experiences, even though he's getting a little better at expression himself.

She'll most likely not push the fact that she can feel his emotions, unless it's needed for whatever reason. So if he doesn't want to talk about it for whatever reason, she won't push it (unless it's a serious matter?)

The only serious matter would probably be about his past and lifestyle worries, but Minato wouldn't talk about them unless their CR developed or someone asked him. But he might try to downplay it in some way.

Of course. That kind of stuff comes with developed CR after all. Athena's not likely to talk about her past either (unless it's too someone from her world or somebody close to her).

By serious matter I mean like... she used it in court from time to time to calm defendants/witnesses down to give clear testimonies. The only other time would really be if he'd asked her to or she feels something dangerous could happen.

(With Rin he nearly broke glass everywhere and would have continued if she hadn't attempted. It didn't actually happen but it got him to focus.)

Oooh right. So if Minato somehow get very emotional and upset about something. Which takes a lot, unless it involves people dying and he becomes very overprotective and desperate (thank you, movie, for that tidbit).

Yep! Otherwise, she'll try not to interfere because of privacy issues and whatnot. Aside from that though, she loves meeting new friends and with coming somewhere new, she'll definitely want to make new friends here.
